フリンジフェスティバルの宣伝が、メルボルンの街中でまたウェブ上でよく見られるようになった。イメージアーティストとして選ばれ、スタジオで本格的な撮影を行ったが、たくさん写した中から何が選ばれたのか？ワクワクドキドキしていた。

Welcome to the quirky and hilarious world of Showko. Growing up with a dual personality mother in the kookiest culture on earth, Showko escaped into her own fantasy world by making puppets and talking to them. Now it’s her job.
Showko: Absolutely Normal is a hilarious cultural collision featuring Japan’s funniest export - standup comic and ventriloquist Showko - playing at Fringe Hub, the Lithuanian Club from 23-30 September as part of the Melbourne Fringe Festival.
Showko Showfukutei is a Japanese comedian, ventriloquist and professionally trained Rakugo performer (Japanese traditional comedy). Her off-beat sense of humour has seen her blend traditional Japanese performance with standup comedy to create a unique and delightfully funny hybrid. Add storytelling to the mix and the occasional bit of ventriloquism and you know that you are in for a hugely entertaining show.
Armed with stories from her slightly odd childhood and her adventures around the world as a globetrotting comedian (London, Edinburgh, Paris, LA, Tokyo), Showko will give you a glimpse into the craziness that exists just below the surface of Japan that most foreigners never get to see.
