●簡単・自動デトックスの方法/Easy and automatic detoxification(in English)

Hi. I am Kazumi Kinross-M, a naturopathic nutritional therapist, living in UK.

Today, I would like to introduce a very handy method of supporting detoxification.

First of all, liver is an organ with literally hundreds of functions, one of which is detoxifying toxins as follows:

- Phase 1. "chop up" metabolism:

Toxins are "chopped up" and converted into less harmful forms by chemical reactions.

- Phase 2. "mop up" metabolism:

This pathway conjugates the "chopped up" toxins and passes them out in bile and urine for elimination.

Balance in these two phases is vitally important; especially when phase 1 is over-active and phase 2 is compromised, toxins can get circulated in the body in the more chemically reactive state.

Good news is that "indole-3-carbinol," a property in cruciferous vegetables can reduce phase 1 activity and induce phase 2 activity, thus, can help clear toxins more effectively.

Cruciferous vegetables include such as:

Broccoli,
Brussels sprouts,
Cabbage,
Cauliflower,
Chinese cabbage,
Kale,
Mizuna,
Radish,
Rocket,
Turnip,
Watercress, etc.

Try to eat one of these vegetables in every day meals, and indole-3-carbinol can regulate the detoxification in a very natural way.
