追記。
ルイス・キャロルは、わたしにとって今ほんとうにおもしろい。（おもしろくなり始めたところ。）
幼少期、あまり本を読む子ではなかったので…、特に児童文学的なものには疎いまま、中年になってしまった（笑）。
最近になって、アリスものをちょこちょこ読んでいる。
それだけでもおもしろいのだが、写真との関係がまた個人的にはとても興味深い。
時間をかけて、これから付き合っていきたいと思う。
ところで、名前について、ちょっとメモ。
Lewis Carroll というのが Charles Lutwidge Dodgson（1832.1.27 - 1898.1.14）のペンネームだということはよく知られていることだと思うが、その筆名の作り方について。

ドジソン家の長男＊として生まれたチャールズ。名前の「チャールズ・ラトウィッジ」の部分を、ラテン語化すると、カロルス・ロドウィクス（※長音抜き）となるらしい。それをまた英語風に再変換すると、キャロル・ルイス、になるんかな？で、その順番を入れかえて、「ルイス・キャロル」が誕生したらしい。

最近さらっと読んだ本には、ルイス・キャロルが、子どもの頃、家族の中だけで回してた新聞のようなものに、文章とか絵もかな？投稿していた、ということが書かれていたけど、これだけの規模の家族なら、確かにそういうこともありそうだ。
