Last week, I went on a trip to Wakayama.

Lunch at a service area on the highway

Wakayama ramen and whitebait rice bowl: a classic combination

Afterwards, on the way to Shirahama in the rain

I went to Kishu Toshogu Shrine.

My wife has been wanting to go to Nikko Toshogu Shrine for a while now.

Nikko is far from Osaka, so we went to Kishu Toshogu Shrine.

108 steps

Aoi family crest

I climbed the stairs and turned around,

A view like this

If it had been sunny, the scenery would have been even more beautiful.

While I was looking at the goshuin and omamori charms at the shrine office,

A volunteer man offered to guide us for free, so we decided to take him up on his offer.

When we travel, we are often greeted, treated well, and even harassed.

It's fun so it's okay

Photography is prohibited inside the main hall, but there are sculptures of sleeping cats and Hidari Jingoro, and it looks like Toshogu Shrine, but it is Toshogu Shrine.

I'd like to come again on a sunny day.
