直江津駅は
今や貴重とも言える
幹線の地上駅。
青い屋根もホームのつくりも
ほぼ昔のままです。
30年くらい前、鉄道雑誌の取材で、
この駅の24時間ルポしたときは、
夜中に夜行列車が次々と発着する
活気のある駅でした。
今はひっそりとしていますが、
ホームが放つオーラは昔のまま。
ずっとこのまま
残ってくれるといいな。

Naoetsu station is now one of the valuable aboveground stations on the main line.
The blue roof and the structures of platform has remained still now.
About 30 years ago, the station was a busy station as many sleeping cars arrived and left when I visited there for railway magazine's 24 hours reportage article.
Although the station is silent now, I can feel the aura which station had yet.
I hope the station will have remained forever.
