雲仙・普賢岳は
1990年に198年ぶりに噴火、
翌年に発生した大規模な火砕流では
多くの犠牲を出しました。
青空に映える山容は険しいですが、
とても穏やかな表情。
島原鉄道の黄色い気動車が、
のんびりと横切っていきました。

Mt.Unzen erupted in 1990 for the first time in 198 years and a lot of people died in the pyroclastic flow next year.
They are steep mountains but the scenery of Mt.Unzen under blue sky looked very peaceful.
