札幌を出発した夜行急行「大雪」は、
3:58に遠軽に到着。
周遊券を握りしめた僕は、
ワクワクしながら始発の名寄本線に乗り換えました。
ホームから見た朝焼けの鮮やかさ。
大慌てで食べた駅そばの味。
今も鮮明に覚えています。
名寄本線が廃止されてから34年。
ホームの乗り換え案内には
まだ懐かしい文字がうっすらと見えます。
キハ40の窓越しに伸びる線路は、
今もまだ名寄に繋がっているような
気がしました。

The night express "Taisetsu" which left Sapporo at 22:50 arrived at Engaru at 3:58.
I changed to the first train of Nayorio Honsen while shuffling Hokkaido Wide Circuler Pass in my hand.
The beauty of the sun rise which I saw from the platform, the taste of Soba which I ate in a great hurry,
I has been clearly remembered still now.
34 years has passed since Nayoro Honsen was discontinued.
You have been able to see the sweet old Japanese characters on the sign board on the platform still now.
I imagined that the railroad which I can see through the window of Kiha40 series car has been connected to Nayori still now.
