約150年前

新橋から横浜まで

日本初の鉄道が開業しました。

 

当時の横浜駅は現在の桜木町付近で

旧停車場跡では「旧横濱鉄道歴史展示」として

鉄道開業時に実際に走っていた

110形蒸気機関車と客車が展示されています。

 

横浜から新橋の所要時間は53分だったとか。

今見ても端正な客車に揺られて

のんびり新橋に帰りたいな。

With a whistle, we have cleared Shimbashi station...
About 150 years ago, the first train in Japan started operation from Shimbashi to Yokohama.

At that time, Yokohama station was near current Sakuragicho station and 110 series steam rocomotive and passenger car which were running acturly at that time is displaied at that remains of the train stop as "Remains of Yokohama Railway History Exhibision".

I heared that the train takes about 53 minutes 

from Yokohama to Shimbashi at that time.
I'd like to go back to Shimbashi by the passenger car which looks very smart even if I see it now.
