Yuriwaka hoped to let his wife know he was safe in the island.
He wrote a message on a leaf with a piece of branch, “I was betrayed by that brothers but I am alive here and I will come back to your place making a raft.” And he tied it to Midorimaru’s leg. Midorimaru flew back to Yuriwaka’s wife. His wife was very happy reading his massage.
百合若は妻に彼がこの島で無事でいる事を知らせたかったので木の葉の上に小枝を使って「私はあの兄弟に裏切られたが、ここで無事だ、なんとか筏を作って帰るつもりだ」と書いて緑丸の脚に括り付けました。緑丸は百合若の妻の元に飛んで行きました。彼の妻はそのメッセージを読んで大変喜びました。
She wrote a letter to tell that the bad brothers behaved as if they had been the lords of the country.
She said to Midorimaru, “I am sorry to ask you to carry this letter and a rice ball to Yuriwaka”, and tied them to Midorimaru’s leg and released it.
