昨日はお盆の最終日だったので元住んでいた松原市にあるお寺にお盆の間に仏壇に祀っていた先祖の戒名の札を納めに行きました。
As it was a last day of Bon festival yesterday, I visited a temple located in a city where I used to live. I took our ancestors’ Buddhist name plates to the temple which were displayed on our family alter during the Bon period. In the temple, a monk read some sutra to send off our ancestors’ souls to the heaven.
私たちの祖先を天国に見送る儀式少し名残り惜しい気分になります。
