Honmachi Senba area
It is a town known for textile wholesalers. My father used to be an excellent textile trader there.
Those names of places such as Kyuhojimachi and Kyutaromachi for which I feel nostalgia because my father’s offices were located there.
The nearby station is Honmachi of Subway Midosuji line. From the station, walk to the east. It’s the area between Midosuji street and Sakaisuji street.
Nakanoshima area
It is a place where my mother spent her child days. Her father’s workplace was in the area. My daughter worked in this modern business center of Osaka till last Sept.
You can get there from Yodoyabashi station of Subway Midosuji line. Nakanoshima is area between two rivers.
Hozenji yokocho
There is a small temple with the typical atmosphere of old Osaka in the middle of Dotonbori town.
In the area, we can see a monument of a singer related with Matsubara city. A famous song ‘Tsukino Hozenji yokocho’ was sung by him.
Tennoji nanasaka
Along the western edge of Uemachi plateau, there are seven slopes. Those slopes have names such as Kiyomizuzaka, Aizenzaka and so on. There are many temples and shrines in the area.
From Yuhigaoka station of Subway Tanimachi line, walk toward the west, you’ll come to the area in 5 minutes.
