Yesterday I went to the area called Arab street where those Arabian traders came and lived. It is one of some exotic historical areas in a super modern Singapore.
Today after shopping on Orchard street, I’m going to the airport to pick up my daughter coming form Kuala Lumpur.
近代都市のシンガポールにあってリトルインディアとチャイナタウンと並び歴史を感じる場所です。最近のシンガポール観光は近年どんどん作られているユニバーサルスタディオ、ナイトサファリのようなテーマパーク系が注目されますが、ここはアジアとヨーロッパの交易港として昔から発展してきたところです。
歴史や文化、自然好きの私にとっては興味深い場所です。
