Last night when we had dinner, we enjoyed on-line video chatting with our daughter living in Malaysia. Later on our granddaughter who lives near our house joined.
It’s incredible for me as if we were having dinner together at the same table thanks to the IT.
In fact, these technologies are advancing rapidly.
As for my wife and me, it’s quite difficult to catch up with these technologies.
To tell the truth, we couldn’t have even such an idea itself to do ‘online dinner party’ unless our daughter started. It is lucky for us to live in the society receiving the benefits of technological developments.
But on the other hand, many people are suffering from wars and poverty just same as before.
Can AI come up with a good idea to stop wars and poverty? I hope so.
昨夜は、マレーシアに住んでいる娘とオンライン夕食会をしました。後からは孫も交えて同じ食卓を囲んだように夕食のひと時を楽しめました。テクノロジーの進歩は早い、私達には遠く離れた外国とオンラインで夕食会を開くというアイデアすら浮かばない。まさにIT時代の恩恵を実感しました。
父母が知ればビックリするでしょうね。
でも世の中こんなに進んでも相変わらず戦争や貧困で苦しんでいる多くの人がいる事実。
AI に聞いたらベストの情報を教えてくれる時代です。AIが争いや貧困の解決策を提案するのは可能かな？ そうか、AIを使って戦争の仕方や兵器の開発をしているから、やっぱりAIを使う人間の心の問題ですね。
