東京は少し早い夏の訪れを感じさせる毎日が続いています。
皆さん健やかにお過ごしですか？
先日、兄(Daisuke)の部屋で仮歌の録音をして来ました。
S bloodの新曲です。
仮歌ですが一日かけてじっくりと、
一つ一つの言葉が伝わるように兄がディレクションしてくれました。
いつも自分のノートにはたくさんの言葉が詩が書き連ねてあって、
そこからイメージを広げながら一つのリリック(歌詞)を書き上げていきます。
想いが詰まってるのはノートの詩もリリックも同じですが、
違うのはそれがメロディに乗る事。
リリックを書くのは曲調やリズム、メロディの陰影に合わせて
言葉を当てはめていくような作業です。
言葉遊びみたいな感覚もあります。
不思議な事にS bloodの楽曲に対して
「自分の言葉じゃないと」と言うような拘りはあまりありません。
兄が書いても良いし、チームとしてベストな作品が出来ればそれで一番だと思っています。
世の中にずっと残るものだからまだまだ手直しが必要な気がしますが、
少しづつ丁寧にこれからも作業を続けていきます。

ギターそれぞれに味があって気分を高めてくれます。

～「Poetry and Lyrics」～
Tokyo continues to experience days that hint the early arrival of summer.
How have you all been?
The other day, I recorded a rough vocal track in my brother Daisuke's room.
It's a new song by S blood.
Although it's just a rough track, my brother directed it meticulously over the course of a day to ensure that each word came across clearly.
My notebook is always filled with countless words, lined up like poetry, from which I expand my imagination to craft lyrics.
Both the poetry in my notebook and the lyrics are filled with emotions, but what sets them apart is their adaptation to melody. Writing lyrics involves fitting words to the melody's tone, rhythm, and nuances. It's almost like playing with words.
Interestingly, there isn't much insistence on "it has to be my own words" when it comes to S blood's music. Whether my brother writes them or someone else does, I believe the best work for the team is what matters most.
Since it's something that will last in the world for a long time, I feel like there's still a lot of refining needed, but I'll continue the work carefully, little by little.
The photo is of the guitar I've been using in my workspace lately. Each guitar has its own flavor and helps elevate my mood.
