中空にとどまらんとする落花かな
花が、空中に留まっていたいかのように、地面に落ちてゆくよ。花は咲いたままでいたかったのに、意に反して寿命を終えたというように作者は見えたということか？なぜ、そう見えたのであろう。
The flowers are falling to the ground as if they wanted to stay in the air. Did the haiku poet see it as if the flowers wanted to stay in bloom but ended their lifespan against their will? Why did she see it that way?
ずいぶん昔、子どもがまだ小さかった頃、妻が、「ずっとこのままでいてくれたら良いのに」と言ったことがあったが、そんな感じか。諸行無常です。
