「大寒」の今日は一日雨で、こんな灰色の空の下では気分も沈むが、寒いのも「立春」までと気持ちを入れ替えて寒さを乗り切ろう。
以前から気になっていた動画があったが、作者の許可をいただいたので以下に動画を紹介し、とりあえず自作の英訳を添付する。
実に難解な歌詞であり、横溝正史の「犬神家の一族」をもう一度見る必要がある。それにしても動画が素晴らしい。

“Masked true face”
The moonlight reflected on the surface of Lake Nasu has hidden the true heart,
Whilst repeating only the unfulfilling promises in vain.
Sweet scent of poppy flowers deceives me into believing that even the final farewell
Would be an itch as if I were bitten by a mosquito.
If I forgot anything and everything and fled from the pursuers,
That pebble flipped to the surface of the lake could be a skyscraper.
All those who were killed by the axe,
Danced to the koto melodies in the twilight,
And dolled up in chrysanthemum flowers,
Have masked true faces.
If these repeated crimes were forgiven,
My thought illuminated in a pale sunshine through foliage would be just like an old letter.
