Little things can make me happy - cheerfully sweet tiny flowers from hardy weeds near the pavement, stray cats who visit my garden day after day, casual humorous exchange of banters with shop staff, and so forth. Today, I have completed a task so that feels quite satisfactory.

However, I would like to mention something happened not today but a few weeks ago. On Sunday morning, I usually take a 206 bus to my parish church (Church of England) from the bus stop nearest from my home. On that day, I was slightly delayed by something, and when I was just getting so close to the last corner, I found the bus turning the same corner slightly earlier than scheduled. "Damn! I've just missed my bus", I swore in my head. Then suddenly, the bus stopped and waited for me to get onboard! Ladies and gentlemen, this would not usually happen in London. It was such a delightful surprise, I was most grateful to the kind driver.

95% of the people who just missed his/her bus are ignored by the driver partially because of the safety regulation: buses are only supposed to stop at the bus stop. Moreover, bus routes are very busy roads with constant traffic, it is inappropriate to cause traffic jam as well. Many people politely knock on the door to get the driver's attention, some bang on the side of the vehicle in a rude way. Old ladies show sad pleading faces, mumbling "Please".

When the road is quiet, kind drivers go extra mile to pick up desperate passengers. It will make you smile if you are lucky to witness it.
