日本語の聖書で「神の国」と訳されているところは、英語訳聖書では全て"the kingdom of God"、平たく訳すと「神の王国」です。以下に使徒の働きで「神の国」が出てくる聖句を全て挙げて、英語訳聖書で標準的なNew Internatonal Versionのフレーズも併記しました。
聖書で「神の国」とあるところは、頭の中で常に「神の王国」と変換して意味を取るようにする必要があります。「神の国とその義を第一に求めなさい」も「神の王国とその義を第一に求めなさい」です。
英訳聖書の「神の国」"the kingdom of God"は「王が統治する国」です。

英訳ですが意味は以下のようになります。すなわち「王がいて統治する国」。この「王」とは言うまでもなくなく、主イエス・キリストです。
（一方で主イエス・キリストは「王の王」"King of kings"、複数形を正確に訳せば「王たちの王」という表現が黙示録17:14、19:16でなされています。この王たちとは、一人ひとりのキリスト信徒です。キリスト信徒は王でなければなりません）
