Nike Free Run

Now that you have the OG colorway of the Nike Air Safari that dropped on the weekend firmly in your possession what’s next? There’s no shortage of options between the various VNTG style pairs and possible NIKE iD creations but we’re pretty partial to the ‘Great Britain’ pack shown above. The connection is a curious one as far as England goes but what’s important here is the premium leather look Nike Free Run + and the extra bit of safari-ness induced by the laces. Click through with us to take a look at both of these all new Nike Air Safari drops which have already arrived at Limited Edt in Singapore and stay here for news on if and when they make it stateside.

For Spring 2013, Reebok pursues one of the most artful partnerships in footwear history with the unveiling of the Keith Haring for Reebok Classics campaign; using Haring’s signature street-art style and blank yet active human figures, the Keith Haring x Reebok Classics Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 collection acts as a walking homage to Haring’s legacy while taking a page out of the Jeremy Scott book with its daring designs. Several Reebok Classics Models are made distinct with with unique designs, like the barking-dog ankle straps and the pronounced heel with a chenille ‘Radiant Baby’ on the Reebok Classic runner. A complete look at the upcoming Keith Haring x Reebok Classics Collection is right ahead, so flip through the images and let us know if you think this partnership has the potential to reach ‘Jeremy Scott’ levels of popularity.

atmos continues its concrete partnership with Nike Sportswear tomorrow with the official release of the Nike Free Powerlines designed by the Japanese retailer. Using the new Powerlines model as the base, atmos relies on a multitude of rainbow-effect colors with a unique ‘twist’ method on the ‘Powerlines’ lace-loops and star appliques on upper (sort of like seeing the stars in a clear night sky). These will hit atmos NYC tomorrow, so take one last look at this great collaborative release below and let us know if these are worthy to hang with atmos’ great history of Nike collabs of the past!

Switch around a couple shades here and there and this new Nike Air Presto release isn’t too far off Nike Free Mens Shoes from paying homage to the ‘Military’ colorway of the Air Jordan IV that just re-released over the weekend. Granted when that sort of cross campus nod goes down it’s usually a bit more explicit, so we’re wagering the similarities are a coincidence if anything. That shouldn’t make this winged runner any less appealing, as the cushy neoprene outfitted sneaker with its t-shirt styled sizing set up still stands as one of those must-haves as far as summer rotations. Click through to check out the new Nike Air Presto colorway and pick up a pair now from Titolo.

The Nike Air Max Tempo is the latest to be run through Nike Sportswear’s rejuvenation project, as the mid-90′s classic made popular by the likes of Chris Webber gets considerably lighter with a Hyperfuse-laden upper shell. In addition to the Fuse injection is the streamlined basketball-specific full-length Max Unit and apparent Nike Free Run + 3 seamless upper a la the revamped Air Max2 CB ’94 simply dubbed the Air Max Barkley. This Spring 2013, six colorways of the rebuilt classic will become available, so keep Nike Free 4.0 V2 an eye out on Sneaker News for any updates regarding the new model. Photos: ck

The adidas Top Ten 2000 hasn’t been shy about bringing in some exciting colorways as we’ve already seen a tonal ‘Infrared’, a controversial ‘South Beach’ style, and two Kobe-centric colorways over the last few months. We’ve got another one coming up in a flashy ‘Knicks’ style, featuring ‘NYC’ detailing on the tongue and a ‘The City Never Sleeps’ logo on the insole of the shoe. The Top Ten 2000 should once again be a top ‘Retro’ choice for the NBA’s adidas-branded athletes, and if Iman Shumpert can make it back in time to throw in some minutes for the Knicks, these would be a perfect fit! This City Pack of Top Tens will include an LA and Chicago version as well, so check out the gallery below and if you want to cop a sample, check out the listing from dballaholic on us store.

Are we due for a ‘Year of the Rabbit’ redux? 2011′s popular color combo of red and gold shines through in this January 2013 release of the Spiz’ike, as it features a black upper matched with Challenge Red and a dark gold/beige, but it’s the contrast of nubuck and patent leather that gives these a distinct look from all the other Spiz’ikes that have dropped in the past. Paired with that energetic grey/blue/green colorway that we previewed earlier today, it’s clear that Jordan Brand isn’t holding back with Spiz’ike releases at all (but the Son of Mars seems to have been put to bed already). More shots below, so take a look and let us know what you think.

Can you imagine what sort of frenzy would immediately be whipped up if the Nike Air Yeezy 2 were to appear in a festive ‘Christmas’ colorway? While you certainly shouldn’t count on that happening, there’s Nike Free Run 3 0 V2 no harm in wondering what it would look like, right? Hinting that is this new “sneaker cube” illustration from Pawel Nolbert, which smashes up Kanye West’s design into a boxy shape. Let us know in the comments how you feel about this latest piece of sneaker art and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more of these creative recreations of your favorite footwear pieces.

These days the whole ‘camo’ designation alone won’t quite cut it, with streetear labels and sneaker brands alike experimenting with seemingly limitless variations on that theme. Take the new Nike Air Max Hyperposite shown here for example, sporting a tiger camo style pattern on the upper, a specific patterning fairly new to the Nike INC at large save for this Converse collab. Click through for the first high quality look at the Nike Air Max Hyperposite ‘Tiger Camo’ and keep your eyes peeled for release info on this bosky pair of basketball sneaks.

The fifth official chapter of the Air Penny series finally began after over a decade of quietude, although during that time, another Air Penny shoe called the Air Foamposite One (you might’ve heard of it) held it down rather sturdily for the 1-Cent camp. Starting off with the High-School inspired ‘Red Eagle’, the Penny V now moves on to a more familiar colorway in the classic Black/Royal/White aka the ‘Orlando’ this October 5th (initially reported as November). These are expected to reach select Nike Sportswear/Basketball retail shelves on the first weekend of October so let us know if these Nike Free 4.0 V3 are definite cop for you and stay tuned for more Air Penny Nike Free Run 5.0 V3 sneaker info and updates!

Much discussion regarding the new Air Jordan XX8 and its funky zipper construction has been one of the hot debates for kicks this month, but let’s not forget that the glove-like fit for bball kicks was a concept done years ago! Gary Payton’s Nike Zoom Flight ’98 ‘The Glove’ is the shoe we’re talking about and after Nike Free Run 7.0 some rumors regarding a re-release came about roughly a year ago, we got some confirmation from the loud-mouth himself; ‘The Glove’ is making a comeback this March 2013, so let us know what your thoughts are on this Retro release and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more updates.

Spike Lee’s made quite the impression on the sneaker game, hasn’t he? While his tenure as an Air Jordan spokesperson was short-lived in comparison to the entire span of the Air Jordan, he made his mark in (arguably) the best stretch of releases – the Air Jordan III-VI – while making a comeback with the Air Jordan XX. The Son Of Mars is a tribute of sorts, encapsulating those five models in a finely-tuned hybrid model, and it finally arrives in a classic Bulls colorway after initially releasing in ‘Pop Art‘ and ‘Club Purple‘, Best Son Of Mars colorway yet? Find out on June 2nd, when these are scheduled for a release, but flip through Jordan Brand’s official images below for a closer look.

As Nike Basketball continues its look back over twenty years of game changing designs, we’re reminded that the Air Jordan Legacy could have filled up half of the list (or perhaps one of its own). We see the connections to MJ in Tinker and company’s Air Flight Huarache and Air Raid designs and now with the pair pictured above, the other half of these features have focused on a key early ’90s rival. After he won a gold at Barcelona ’92 in the Air Force 180, Hall of Fame power forward Charles Barkley turned in his finest season and met up with MJ in the 1993 Finals. An MVP-level effort wasn’t enough for Sir Charles to capture that first championship, so Beaverton went back to the drawing board to create a product that perfectly married, in Hatfield’s words: “The outlandishness of Charles’ persona and the beauty of the product”

The Nike Air Max2 CB (’94) reflected Chuck’s rebellious persona thanks to designer Tracy Teague having the kind of freedom of expression to which Barkley alluded in his infamous ‘Role Model’ ad. Accordingly, the AM2 CB is an imposingly aggressive design equipped to handle sudden outbursts as the Round Mound of Rebound continued to play above his size. Features like straitjacket-inspired lockdown straps, reinforced ghillie lacing and a ferocious, toothy midsole made this design so memorable it was recently resurrected as the basis for Nike Sportswear’s Air Max Barkley, but longtime fans and collectors recognize the original style as irreplaceable. Check out some of the early sketches and OG colorways after the jump below, let us know Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 where Charles Barkley ranks in the pantheon of great signature ballers and stick with Sneaker News as we examine twenty years of bold basketball design.

Desert boots have been huge over the past two-plus years.  So huge that Clarks Originals isn’t even making new pairs of the hugely popular Wallabee so that their original chukka can shine brighter than ever before.  So huge that every sneaker brand out there has some kind of desert boot design and/or hybrid available, and so huge that they’re getting a best-of-both-worlds treatment courtesy of respective industry leaders of style and performance.  The Nike x Cole Haan LunarGrand Chukka takes the same sole we saw on the Wingtip version and applies it to a three-eyelet desert boot upper for a design that might turn out to be one of the biggest surprise hits of 2012.  Check out more details below and look for these starting this Thursday, May 3rd at Cole Haan Soho.  via CH

The Nike Zoom Kobe VII is set Nike Free Run 3.0 V3 to be a pretty lighthearted affair for the summer, with the majority of the designs on their way sporting some pretty colorful looks. The Barcelona pairs that we gave you the exclusive on are no doubt the brightest of the bunch but lets not forget this World Baksetball Festival fare sporting fireberry on the heel clip and a cool thunder blue down into the lining. Click through with us for a better look at this Nike Zoom Kobe VII and let us know if you’ll be picking them up when the August 4th release date arrives. Photos: Sole Movement

Reebok’s rainy day sneakers look to be extending beyond that of the upcoming Reebok Kamikaze II ‘Reign Man’ pairs. Pictured here is a two pair pack of the Reebok Ex-O-Fit Hi previewed by none other Nike Free Run 3.0 V5 than Swizz Beatz featuring a wet look across the upper. Those water droplets dotting the upper go subzero when things get down to the outsole, with Reebok slapping an icy look on bottom. Hit the jump for the full preview and stay tuned to Sneaker News to find out when the Reebok Ex-O-Fit ‘Wet Pack’ will be hitting retailers.

Nike’s Think Pink campaign continues again on the all-new Nike Hyperdunk+; the lovely Pinkfire II color tone hits the Hyperdunk upper in tonal fashion, with a crisp and wintry white on the forefoot Swoosh and outsole providing a useful bit of contrast. The ‘Think Pink’ has been a ‘regular’ on the Hyperdunk over the last few Nike Free Run 3.0 V3 installments, which is a rather fitting homage considering Kay Yow is one of the greatest women’s basketball coaches to have ever lived! Celebrate the continuing legacy of Kay Yow by copping the Hyperdunk+ in the ‘Think Pink’ composition from id4shoes on us store.

Not only is Vans putting out tons of new variations on its original deck shoe, but all of these Authentics lately have been quite impressive.  The latest design theme brings us the deconstructed version of this already slim sneaker in three rich, full grain leather builds, as the Vans California Authentic Decon gets ready for autumn with some seasonal earthiness.  Forest green, burgundy and black uppers give way to dark corded laces to create styles you can see more closely below, and be let us know how you feel about the chic menswear angle we’ve seen take over the skate world.  via FNG

LeBron James’ current China trip just hit a huge new level today, with King James arriving in Shanghai together with a throng of other big name Nike athletes for the Nike+ 2012 Festival of Sport. Just like last year’s festivities the gathering focused on sparking a greater interested in sports across China, with super athletes showing up and showing off the pinnacle of achievement in their respective fields. And the attendees walked away with much more than that in some instances, with ten lucky people winning an advance pair of the Nike LeBron X. Stay with us after the jump for some photos from the festivities that included appearances Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 from Amar’e Stoudemire, Eric Koston, Omar Salazar, Rudy Gay, Stefan Janoski, and Yi Jianlian and stick with Sneaker News for more updates on the Nike+ 2012 Festival Nike Free Run + 2 of Sport.

The energy surrounding Kevin Durant’s hometown tribute via his Nike Zoom KD V is certainly building up since Nike officially unveiled the shoes two days ago. An interesting side-note to this ‘DMV’ pair is that the color may be indirectly inspired by ‘mumbo sauce’, a regional food condiment that DMV heads have come to accept as part of the location’s culture. More importantly, this on-feet look at the KD V provides us a great insight on just how the KD V will look on the streets, and you can clearly see that padded, diagonally-ribbed tongue and the Mag-inspired heel-cup stick out as the highlight feature of the shoe. Enjoy the on-feet shots below and stay tuned to Sneaker News for more on the KD V chapter.
