Nike’s Think Pink campaign continues again on the all-new Nike Hyperdunk+; the lovely Pinkfire II color tone hits the Hyperdunk upper in tonal fashion, with a crisp and wintry white on the forefoot Swoosh and outsole providing a useful bit of contrast. LeBron James’ current China trip just hit a huge new level today, with King James arriving in Shanghai together with a throng of other big name Nike athletes for the Nike+ 2012 Festival of Sport. Just like last year’s festivities the gathering focused on sparking a greater interested in sports across China, with super athletes showing up and showing off the pinnacle of achievement in their respective fields. And the attendees walked away with much more than that in some instances, with ten lucky people winning an advance pair of the Nike LeBron X. The energy surrounding Kevin Durant’s hometown tribute via his Nike Zoom KD V is certainly building up since Nike officially unveiled the shoes two days ago. An interesting side-note to this ‘DMV’ pair is that the color may be indirectly inspired by ‘mumbo sauce’, a regional food condiment that DMV heads have come to accept as part of the location’s culture.
