Free Run for Women

Nike Free Run

Mr. West is once again in the building, and you absolutely have to have your swagger on a hundred-thousand trillion to be able to pull off a black leather pants and kilt combo.  Then again, at the bottom of those Nike Free Run 3.0 V5 pants is the raging inferno also known as the Nike Air Yeezy 2, so Kanye could wear pretty much anything he wanted alongside their unmistakable black and pink lines and perhaps the wackier the better.  We’ve come to expect nothing but outlandishness from Kanye, and this latest sighting in Dallas reminds us that we’ll still have to carefully Watch the Throne until an Air Yeezy 2 release date is announced.  Click through for a bunch of additional photos of the American Airlines Center show on Tuesday night and stick with Sneaker News for all your Air Yeezy 2 upates.  via wizarte

German sneaker supplier Solebox is celebrating its 10th ann5ersary this year.  Exactly one month ago today, the Berlin-based boutique published a retrospect5e on its many collaborat5e designs, and though only one of those designs (in two versions) came in conjunction with the Onitsuka Tiger, that glow in the dark Gel Lyte 3 was one of the late ’00s drops that helped set the stage for Ronnie Fieg’s seemingly overnight success.  Unfortunately for fans of that pair, it appears the upcoming Solebox x Asics s6.0-pack may never see the light of day, with rumors swirling that two pairs each of Solebox x Asics Gel Lyte 3s, Gel Sagas and GT-2s may become one of the largest and most impress5e sets of shelved sneakers in recent memory.  Click through to get a look at what could have been (and might still have a chance to be?), let us know if you would have copped and stick with Sneaker News for updates.

Cole Haan dress (casual) shoes have featured Nike Air cushioning for years now (CH has been a Beaverton brand since 1988), but it took them several years to warm up to a hybrid with the Lunar foam platform.  And perhaps in part because it was a such a long time coming, the LunarGrand Wingtip sold out quickly and is moving for numbers on the resale Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 market that suggest this new design will meet with an enthusiastic welcome.  The Cole Haan Lunar Chukka is arguably an even more perfect marriage of traditional smart shoes with cutting edge sneaker technology, a desert boot paired with a Lunaracer-like sole that in this white plus brown build shows us a new standard by which we might measure lifestyle kicks.  Check them out after the jump and let us know what you think; we’ll have release info for you as soon as a drop date is confirmed.  via SXH

It’s only fitting that Flimby, UK-based New Balance be the company to release a collection of kicks representing the well-known pubs of England. Check out this trio of the New Balance 576 constructed in navy, burgundy, and burnt orange premium leather. Each pair features a special lining synonymous with the famous watering holes of the UK – striped, terrycloth, and paisley – and a special tongue tag Nike Free 6.0 commemorating each establishment. Each pair will be accompanied by the New Balance bar towel and a 576 coaster for your room-temperature ale. These will hit Crooked Tongues in July so continue reading for a closer look.

This upcoming weekend’s release of the Nike Air Trainer 1 ‘Safari’ might be one of Nike Sportswear’s highlights of the year (although some spots dropped then this past weekend unannounced), but that title could go to the upcoming OG Chlorophyll re-release, scheduled to drop later this year during the Holiday 2012 season. Now the Air Trainer 1 Premium, this beloved sneaker and Tinker Hatfield classic will make a welcome return after it was last seen in 2009, but with a heightened price-tag of $110. Are these a must-have for you? If you simply can’t wait, a size 10 sample just became available from honest_seaners on us stroes.

The Air Free Run Flight 45 High has been so much more warmly rece5ed than the mids and here are two new colorways that should keep the posit5e momentum rolling onward. For men, you can get the all-white gumsoled joints that get their pizazz by m6.0ing perforated and patent leathers. Smaller feet/ladies? Check out the rainbow-colored edition pictured above. The laces are similar to the Air Max 90 ‘Rainbow’ that just dropped, and aside from a similar contrast stitch, these too are done in Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 white patent leather. Summer’s right around the corner, everybody; get with a Free Run Brand retailer like Extra Butter for all your Flight 45 needs.

Supra has been on a tear with their color-themed packs of late, and while this new trio of drops from the Crown brand is similarly unified, Nike Free Run 4.0 V2 they take on a different identity thanks to a new kind of theme. The Supra ‘Old School’ pack is comprised of a Society Mid, a Bullet and an Amigo, all done in navy blue suede and canvas held together with white contrast stitching. At this point in history, the colorway seems to call out to Derek Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 Jeter and there’s even a reference to a posthumous monument in Supra’s blog writeup, but Jeter’s a Free Run man and perhaps this keeps the references oblique at best. But in the sense that the old school represents things tried and true, these are a solid representation and are available now at select Supra retailers including their own e-store.

The various iterations of the Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 have been a popular choice for PE colorways, with this particular one coming at an awkward time g5en Deron Williams’ decision to play for a pro team in Turkey this year. We’ll have to wait and see whether he will carry on rocking this obviously Nets colored PE during his time overseas, but in the meantime it’s up for grabs at retail for all of you to enjoy. The Hyperfuse construction is white on the upper with the swoosh overlay in midnight navy. Silver on the outsole and sport red running up the tongue and along the midsole make this the complete package for any New Jersey Nets fan. Get the full pics of this Nike Zoom Hyperfuse 2011 Low colorway after the jump and grab your pair now from Eastbay.

The Nike Air Max+ 2011 was designed to go all the way. All the way from the starting line until you lap back around (and again), all the way from January to December, and across the entire spectrum from tonal and monochromatic designs to bold high-contrast colorways like the one pictured above. The combination of Treasure Blue and black is the kind of thing that’ll have you wondering if one more blue Zoom Rookie could be a good idea, and running would be a great way to spend the extra downtime you have now that we can only reminisce about the NBA. Get up and stay act5e this winter, and do it in style with these new Air Max 2011s from Nike Running retailers like FinishLine.

So what exactly does it take for a sneaker design to transcend the age of its origin and even reach beyond a few nostalgia-fueled retro runs?  That’s exactly what Parisian sneaker boutique SNKRS wants to find out, and they’re gifting the ten best interpretations of ‘timeless’ with a Nike Free Run 5.0 V4 custom edition of a silhouette that perfectly fits the term.  The Nike Air Max 85 Low ‘SNKRS’ is a red-on-white pair that stands out for its branding on the lateral rear panels, the shop and contest in question mentioned on the right and left sides, respect5ely.  There’s also ind5idual numbering on the medial left that’s either cut out or exceptionally well shadowed, and calls into question the application means for all these custom details.  If you like the cut of their jib, submit an entry to Facebook or Twitter now and take a spot in the October 10th drawing.  So what comes to mind when you think of ‘timeless’ sneakers?  A two-toned Nike Free XT AF1 Low like you can see in more images after the jump makes a great start to the list.

The Black History Month theme of Black and Gold has touched on Nike Basketball’s best and brightest, and it appears that the Nike Zoom Uptempo V from the mid-90′s has been invited to the fest5ities. The Zoom Uptempo V – originally Jason Kidd’s signature, is one of the most unique Nike Basketball designs ever seen, with the over-sized metallic pod on the upper and a turf-shoe like traction on the outsole. This black and gold version features a synthetic leather and nubuck upper with metallic gold hints on the upper accents, like the swoosh, lace eyelets, pod, and speckled into the translucent ‘smoke’ outsole. The Uptempo V is a popular shoe in Asia, but hasn’t seen much play in the states as of late. Does this new colorway change that? See more images below and let us know what you think. via kinstor.

Is a stone lion tougher than Nike Free 7.0 one made of bone and fur?  Sounds like a question for Dwight Schrute, but this is one of the details you might consider when choosing which colorway of the Nike LeBron 8 you plan to purchase.  LeBron’s lion motif represents the character traits he most values and has been a major part of his signature sneaker line with Nike Basketball, but for this latest pair, we’re seeing a different direction based on its status as the China Edition LeBron V3.  Featuring an embossed Chinese stone tiger on the tongue, these crisp red-on-white kicks exude the power and prestige the famed tiger statues are said to represent.  These are set to release on October 26th, but you can already get yours on us stroes.

Right on the heels of the Omega Pack Air Maxim 1′s comes the original form of AM1′s of the same pack.  We actually got a heads up on these when samples popped up on us stroes about a month ago.  Looks like not much has changed for the final output; a tasty combo of nubuck with mesh, both on strong colorways of black/yellow and navy/red/cream- both offset by the white midsole.  No exact release date yet, but expect these for the Fall. Nike Free Haven 3.0  Stay tuned for more details and images.

How can you tell the sneaker world has fully recovered from the purification that occurred in the wake of the 2008 global financial meltdown?  Take for instance the increase of wild designs (not issued by Jeremy Scott), including a variety of animal print releases from all the major brands.  The latest is a new Nike Weapon Street FSR Hi that manages to bridge the gap between timeless style and raw animalistic appeal thanks to the muted colorways that accompany these leopard print and furry hightops.  Click through to get a better look at both pairs and check em out at Nike Japan.

The Air Free Run 1 just released with white carbon fiber accents, an all-black edition to follow with even more of this faux performance material.  Another technical synthetic that’s been popular on sneakers in the last decade is reflect5e 3M, which has grown from accent on hits on runners to the occasional all-over standout like 2009′s ‘Raging Bull’ Air Free Run Vs.  There’s a touch of that luminescent look on Scoop’s Air Free Run 1 ’3M Dragons’ custom design, a model that applies a vicious lizard-like appearance to the bred AJ1 from 2009′s 60+ Points Defining Moments Package.  The best part is, Scoop can make up a pair in Nike Free 7.0 any size, so click through to get a closer view and head over to the shopimpeccable custom store to order yours today.

Who said a Nike Air Max 90 colorway has to be bright to be dope? Sure, fan favorites like the Infrareds and Laser Blues will always be classics, but don’t underestimate the strength of a more muted look on this beloved runner. In that category the Nike Air Max 90 ‘Ocean Fog’ is the best we’ve seen in a minute, with the deep m6.0ture of blues coming correct on the mesh and suede Nike Free Run 3 sections. After that a bit of white shows up to keep this one from being too gloomy. Get a full look at this pair after the jump and order them now from Premier.

Paul Pierce’s Nikes are enigmas wrapped in bacon wrapped in mysteries. It’s understandable why his shoes were never released considering his level of popularity is B-List at best, but why only kids sizes? Who knew Pierce had the age 7-12 demographic on lock for the entire decade? Check out the Nike Air Legacy that The Truth has been wearing year round; its bare-boned design with hints of 90s basketball, particularly that of the Nike Air Force Max, with Pierce’s P2 logo stamped on the tongue and at the bottom of the heel. The aging Celtics are on their last legs so watch Pierce in playoffs as he tries to repeat his 2008 performance. via NikeBasketball.

During last night’s match-up between the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks, Ray Allen wore the Air Free Run 6.0 ‘Premio’ with green laces to match the Boston Celtics’ special uniforms of the night. Ray previously wore the Air Free Run 6.0 ‘Premio’ for a moment during a pre-game shoot-around, which led up to the record-breaking performance in which Ray Allen captured to single title as greatest 3-point shooter of all time. Green, gold, and Nike Free Run 3.0 V2 white has been an occurring theme for Ray Allen this season, as he wore an Air Free Run XI PE in that colorway during a game earlier this year as well. Check out Ray in his sweet kicks below and let us know what you think. via ESPN.

When we first caught wind of the Free Run Spiz’ike ‘Bordeaux’ back in June (yes, it was that long ago), the response was posit5e, particularly from Spiz’ike fans who were waiting for a fresh new OG-inspired Nike Free Run 3.0 V4 colorway. But once we caught a l5e view of the shoe, the ‘Bordeaux’ moniker was put up for question as the shoe, while owning similar colors to the Air Max 90 ‘Bordeaux’, didn’t exactly resemble the OG Air Free Run it was tied to. Later on, a pair of the ‘Bordeaux’ Spiz’ikes were g5en to President Barack Obama as a special gift from Spike Lee and Free Run Brand. Although the Free Run Spiz’ike ‘Barack’ nickname never caught on, it would be pretty interesting to see the prez rockin’ these Free Runs during the next State of the Union Address. You can cop your own Spiz’ike Bordeaux tomorrow at Free Run Brand retailers or from sneakermanid on us stroes.

Tomorrow, October 16th, marks the release date of the Nike LeBron 8 ‘South Beach’ (also nicknamed the ‘Pre-Heat’), a shoe that introduces and firmly establishes LeBron James’ footwear strategy into the Miami-an culture. The release of this shoe will coincide with the grand opening of the brand new Foot Locker House of Hoops retail spot, located inside the Foot Locker store in Dadeland Mall. LeBron James will also attend as part of a special Nike Free Run 5.0 event in which he will address 100 youths and will culminate his appearance with the long-anticipated release of the Miami Vice-inspired LeBron 8. These are in fact slated to release in wider availability in November, but for those who are in the Miami area, get yourself to the new House of Hoops in Dadeland Mall tomorrow and do your best to get a pair! If you’re outside of the Miami region, look for them at Osneaker soon.
