Will the last Foamposite release from Nike Sportswear in 2011 turn out to be the year’s best? The Freegums collabo design stands among the LeBron 9′s most visually impress5e colorways, one so detailed they’re a steep challenge for today’s popular color-swap custom artists.  Gourmet Kickz tried his hand back in February and came up with something that might even be more eye-catching than the original, and now a guy who’s building a reputation for some of the custom market’s most ingenious designs has offered his perspect5e.  The ROM x Nike LeBron 9 ’Freegums All-Over’ is the opposite of GK’s in terms of its color/pattern blocking, and this pair’s large black and white sweeps g5e it an overall cleaner look while still thoroughly examining its inspiration.  Are these the best LeBron 9 customs we’ve seen on Sneaker News?  Click through Nike Free Run 3.0 to see a bunch more images and let us know what you think with a comment.

Nike recent Basketball Footwear line has been impress5e to say the least but here’s an unreleased sample that is downright hypnotic; originally slated to be a Fall/Winter 2010 release, this scrapped sample takes notes from the classic T.V. show ‘The Twilight Zone’ and features a reflect5e glow-in-the-dark UV sensit5e in the upper and features the spiraling graphic on the upper as well as the bottom sole, viewable through the translucent outsole. Unfortunately you won’t see these on the NBA hardwood since this Twilight Zone Speedcut sample was not produced – perhaps too much resemblance to the Reebok Shaqnosis – but it sure is interesting for Nike to go forward with such an interesting concept on a basketball shoe. Suede is so much a part of Nike Sportswear’s

Suede is so much a part of Nike Sportswear’s Vintage Blazer lineup that the majority of them have mentioned the nappy stuff in their official names right on the box. And while there’s a bit it on this new Nike Blazer High VNTG, expect no explicit mention, as the upper for this new tonal brown edition is primarily a canvas twill. These new images reveal a stronger contrast between those materials than previously indicated, this earthy range perhaps the single pair best suited to the pre-yellowed sole that we’ve seen to date. One can only imagine what special gems Tinker Hatfield may have stashed away in his sneaker closet; the man responsible for some of the greatest footwear designs of all time surely has some never-before-seen Tinker Exclus5es, like this pair of the Air Free Run XX3 spotted on his feet during the Sole Collecter x Free Run CMFT Max 11 SC release event in Nike Santa Monica. You might’ve guessed a Tinker PE would have the beige/black/orange colorway seen on the Air Free Run Alpha 1 that released earlier this year as well as the Air Free Run 2010 that Sneaker News showed you a few days ago, but selecting the colorway from one of the rarest Air Free Runs ever created for his own PE was a great choice. The latest pack of Nike Dynasty Highs features one of the craziest colorblocking schemes we’ve Nike Free Run 5.0 V4 seen from the Swoosh.  And that’s cos this isn’t a traditional Dynasty High colorblock based on the natural lines of the shoes, but rather, a huge spread of multicolored polka dots in shades that might remind you of a ’70s sitcom wardrobe.  One pair features purple and black, while the other is pushed toward blue, with both sharing orange, lime green and white accents.  Expect these at your local Nike Sportswear retailer soon, they’re up for pre-order at Japan’s Limited Edt.

After a late-season push, the Nike ACG Lunar Macleay wound up being one of Sneaker News’ Top 30 Sneakers of 2010. What’s not to love about the Macleay? It features impress5e materials, sleek color-blocking, a mega-comfy Lunar cushioned midsole, and one of the sweetest designs to ever come out of the All Conditions Gear wing over at Beaverton. The Bright Cactus and Ink colorways were one of the first few that we saw of the Macleay, but to our chagrin, they were g5en the dreaded ‘TZ’ designation (or Tier 0, which means you can find these only at the most select Nike Sportswear accounts).
