①人は未来よりも今の欲を優先してしまう
People prioritize their current desires over the future.
あなたは今5000円をもらえるのと、1ヵ月後に15,000円をもらえるのはどちらを選ぶか。
Would you rather receive 5,000 yen now or 15,000 yen in a month?
多くの人は今お金をもらうことを選ぶ。
Most people choose to receive the money now.
でも、1ヵ月後にお金をもらうほうが得をする。
But receiving the money in a month is better.
今の欲を優先するのやめよう。
Stop prioritizing your current desires.
②努力が無駄になるのが嫌だから損をするのにやめられない
You can't stop even though you're losing money because you don't want your efforts to go to waste.
例えば、あなたはぬいぐるみを取るゲームでお金を使えば使うほど止められなくなる。
For example, the more money you spend on a game of catching stuffed animals, the more you can't stop.
今まで使ったお金が無駄に思えるからだ。
This is because the money you've spent so far seems like a waste.
でも、機械を変えるとすぐに取れるかもしれない。
But if you change the machine, you might be able to get it right away.
努力することは大事だが、違うと思ったら、やめる勇気も必要だ。
It's important to make an effort, but if you think it's not right, you also need the courage to stop.
③良い印象を残すには初対面とピークと去り際が大切
The first meeting, the peak, and the moment you leave are important to leave a good impression.
私たちが人に会ったときには、最初と最後の印象しか残っていない。
When we meet someone, only the first and last impressions remain.
だから、初対面と去り際を大切にしよう。
So let's cherish the first meeting and the moment we leave.
身だしなみを整えて、待ち合わせ場所に行き、はっきりした声で別れを告げよう。
Dress nicely, show up to the meeting place, and say goodbye in a clear voice.
それだけで、あなたの印象が良くなるはずだ。
