八幡平最大の沼である大沼では、季節ごとにミズバショウなどの高山植物が群生しています。「レンゲツツジ」「コバイケイソウ」の群生でも知られ、初夏には美しく咲き誇ります。広大な八幡平エリアの中でも人気の高いのは、八幡平（秋田側）にある大沼の紅葉で例年10月中旬頃見ごろを迎えます。In the Lake Onuma which is the largest swamp in Hachimantai, we can see a group of alpine plants such as skunk cabbage by season.Among the vast Hachimantai, the most popular is the autumn leaves at Onuma on the Hachimantai (Akita side), which is in full bloom around mid-October every year. 三種町の自然を生かし釜谷浜（かまやはま）海水浴場 (日本の快水浴場１００選)でイベントとして開催されます。砂像の製作期間は、イベント開催の2週間前から始まり、製作過程を観察することができます。 We will display sand statues at the Kamayahama beach, making use of the Blessed nature of Mitane-cho. 平安時代を代表する歌人、小野小町（おののこまち）は世界三大美人の一人と称されています。湯沢市には小野小町ゆかりの史跡が点在している地域があります。小町まつりは、六月第二日曜日に開催され小野 小町が作った和歌を朗詠し小町堂に奉納します。このイベントは開催中止となる場合があります。Ono no Komachi, a poet who represents the Heian period, is said to be one of the three beauties of the world.
