ファンの方には大変申し訳ないのですが、私はいわゆるフォーク・ミュージックがニガテでした。
それは当時流行っていた4畳半フォーク系のイメージが強かったからなんですね。
しかしフォークにも色々あって、ロックよりもハードだったり、パンクよりもアナーキーだったりするんだと判ってからは、偏見がなくなりました。
今日はフォーク系でお気に入りの曲を紹介します。
オリジナルはSimon and Garfunkelですね。
実はWingsというかDenny Laineのカヴァー バージョンを先に聞いてこの曲を知りました。

Denny Laineは少し歌詞を変えていますが、大まかなストーリーは同一です。
どちらのヴァージョンも～bullet through his headでは終わらず、サビを繰り返して終わるのが、少し救われた感じがします。
この歌から何を感じるかは人それぞれだと思いますが、なんだか私の心にずっと残っている曲なんですよね。

あまり彼がタッチしていないはずの曲も収録されていますが、劣化コピーの域を出てきない気がします。
まあ、経済的問題で乗り気じゃないのに発表したと言われているアルバムですから、仕方がないかな。
Dennyと言えば、この曲もお気に入りなんです。
Moody Bluesの初期のヒット曲ですが、動画は"Wings"versionです。
そういえば彼は有名なグルービーだったジョジョと結婚・離婚しているんですよ。
