昨夜、杉並区にある『大宮八幡宮』に行ってきました。

その昼間に神社裏手にある林の中で武術を教えていたのですが、
その際に大宮八幡宮で夜のイベント
《十五夜の神遊び 月の音舞台》
があることを知り、夜に再び訪れました。

竹を切って作った無数の筒の中で、
ロウソクの灯がオレンジ色に明々と光る様子は、
たくさんのホタルが歓迎してくれているようにも見え、
幽玄の気配を感じさせてくれました。

舞殿で奏でられる『き乃はち』さんによる尺八の調べは、
一瞬にして私の心を奪い、
私は境内の木々の下に、数十分間、微動作にせず立ち尽くすことに。

天を見上げれば、
美しい丸い月が一片の雲もまとう事なく、
煌々と輝き、
尺八の音とともに、秋風が夜の境内を流れてゆきました。

その場にいられたことに心から嬉しさを感じました。

その夜は珍しく寝付けなかった。

Omiya Hachimangu Shrine

Last night, I went to an event at “Omiya Hachimangu Shrine” in Tokyo.
There were many bamboo tubes lined up in the shrine grounds, and candles were lit inside each one.
The scene looked like countless fireflies and was very magical.
The sound of the shakuhachi played on the stage of the shrine captured my heart, and I stood there motionless for several minutes.
The round moon shone beautifully in the cloudless night sky.
A gentle autumn breeze blew along with the shakuhachi performance.

I feel really happy to be there last night.
