そして、やはり想いを寄せるのは彼のこと
体調はだいぶ落ち着いただろうか
全日本を見ただろうか
どのように感じているのだろうか
分かっているのは
彼はこの経験をけっして無駄にしないだろうということ
試練の連続のような競技人生において
今までやってきたことで後悔したことはないと
彼は言い切る
彼は自分らしく生きているから「後悔しない」と言い切れるのだろう
どんなに険しいいばらの道でも
常に前に進み挑戦し続けることを選んできた人生
全て自分がやりたいと自分の意思で選んできたこと
だからたとえ失敗してもそれは後悔することではない
失敗すら自分の望む生き方を実現するためには必要な過程だと知っているから
人の価値観はそれぞれ異なっていて
人生は人の数だけ何十億通りもあるから
自分の人生を人と比べることは何の意味もない
大切なのは自分の心が望むまま
自分らしく生きることなのだろうと思う
自分自身の人生を振り返ってみて
後悔してきた選択ももちろん多々あるけれど
自分が今までに選択してきた結果の積み重ねで今の自分があるとするなら
もし過去に戻ってもう一度人生をやり直すことが出来たとしても
やはり同じ道を選択するのではないだろうか
それは今の自分に満足しているからというよりは
その時その時にその選択をして精一杯生きてきた自分に誇りを持ちたいと思うからではないだろうか
自分にとって何が大切なことなのかがわかっていれば
私たちは後悔しない生き方を選択することができると思う
