解説
“destiny”も“fate”もざっくり訳すと「運命」になってしまいますが、fateはどちらかというとネガティブな「逃れられない定め」「宿命」という意味、一方、destinyは自分の努力次第で変えられる、自分で選び取る、切り拓く(ひらく)という感じのニュアンスがあります。ここでは、用意された結末や将来をただ受け身で待つ(あきらめる)のではなく、自分の選びたい未来を自ら勝ち取れ！、という熱いメッセージが込められていると思います。Reach for the cup of life

今回はRicky Martinの良い意味での“オラオラ感”やコール＆レスポンスでオーディエンスを上から煽る感じ、また、ワールドカップの試合を思わせる、曲の圧倒的な勢いや疾走感などを大切にしたいと思い、意味を外さない範囲で自然な表現を使い、文字数を必要最小限で仕上げることを優先しました。
とても英語らしい表現が多く、なかなか満足のいく最終形にはなっていませんが…w (^_^;)
