▼この課では動詞dovereを使って「～するといいですよ」と相手に進める言い方を勉強します。
▼ローマのホテルに滞在している健太がフロント係にイタリア語学校への行き方を尋ねます。

※Deveは敬称Leiに対して
高田先生：
dovereは基本的に「～しなければならない」という意味ですが、ここでは「～するといいですよ」「～してください」と相手に勧める言い方になっています。

【補足】dovere(have to, must, should)の活用

今回のもう一つのポイントです。
▼dovereの否定文です。「～すべきでない」「～してはいけない」という意味のほかに、
▼「～する必要はない」、「～しなくて良い」という意味になることがあります。
「私はダイエット中なので、食べすぎてはいけない」
Non devo mangiare troppo perché sono a dieta.
（I must not eat too much because I am on a diet.）
Oggi è sabato e non devo andare in ufficio.
（It's Saturday today and I don't have to go to the office.）
Non devi spendere troppi soldi.
（You mustn't spend too much money.）
Lei non deve comprare il biglietto perché è invitato.
（You don't have to buy a ticket because you are invited.）

「これは使える！」のコーナーです。
ここでは覚えればそのまま使えるイタリア語の便利な表現を取り上げます。今回の一言は、
Lo so.（I know.）
Non lo so.（I don't know.）
リヴィオ先生：
Quando qualcuno ti fa una domanda, per esempio, "Sai dov'è la fermata dell'autobus?"

※イタリア語のdovereはかなり守備範囲が広いみたいですね。
英語のmust, have to, should, need to等の範囲をカバーしているようです。
逆に英語のこれらの表現が複雑に思えてきます。
「ぜひ～するといい」にdovereを使うのは意外でしたが、これ、英語ならshould, mustあたりを使うといいのでしょうか？
