今日は少し視点を変えて、スペイン語を含めた外国語の学習全般についてお話したいと思います。
多和田葉子さんと言う作家を知っていますか？
多和田葉子さんは日本人ですが、日本語、ドイツ語で作品を書いている作家です。
ドイツ生まれでも、ドイツで育ったわけでありません。ドイツ語は高校生の時に学び始め、日本で大学を卒業してからドイツに渡り、その後、創作活動を始めたようです。
和田さんの著作に『エクソフオニー』というタイトルのエッセイ集があります。エクソは「外の」、フォニーは「声、音」を意味する造語要素で、どちらもギリシャ語起源です。多和田さんによれば、「母語の外に出た状態一般」を指す言葉だそうです。
『エクソフオニー』というエッセイ集には、副題がついていて、それが「母語の外に出る旅」です。
皆さんのスペイン語学習も「母語の外での旅」にほかなりません。今回は皆さんのこれからの旅のはなむけとして、外国語学習全般に関するアドバイスを贈ります。

重要な決断をくだすためには、外国語で考えるようにしなさい。
Nobu:
Sí. Es porque puedo pensar con más frialdad en una lengua extranjera, ¿verdad?
（Yes. It's because I can think more calmly in a foreign language, right?）
（Sì. È perché riesco a pensare in modo più calma in una lingua straniera, giusto?）
ええ。外国語ではより冷静に考えられるからですよね。
塚原先生：
母語で考えると感情が強く働くので、より冷静な判断をくだすには外国語で考えた方が良いと言われています。
●¿Para qué estudias español?
（Why do you study Spanish?）

塚原先生：
皆さんがスペイン語を学ぶ目的はいろいろだと思います。リディアさんの日本語学習は何のためですか？
リディア先生：
Porque vivo aquí. Necesito comunicarme con mis vecinos. Por eso me esfuerzo en aprender a hablar correctamente.
（Because I live here. I need to communicate with my neighbors. That's why I make an effort to learn to speak correctly.）
（Perché vivo qui. Ho bisogno di comunicare con i miei vicini. Per questo mi sforzo di imparare a parlare correttamente.）
塚原先生：
なるほど。日本に住んでいるからですね。近所の人とコミュニケーションする必要があるから、正しく話せるように努力しているということですね。
リディア先生：
Y también lo aprendo porque quiero saber qué pasa a mi alrededor. Así que tengo que saber leer al menos un poquito.
（And I also learn it because I want to know what's going on around me. So I have to know how to read at least a little bit.）
（E lo imparo anche perché voglio sapere cosa succede intorno a me. Quindi devo sapere leggere almeno un po’.）
塚原先生：
自分の周りで起こってることも知りたいので、少しは日本語を読んで理解できなければならないということですね。リディアさんにとっては「話す」「読む」が特に重要なようですね。
リディア先生：
Evidentemente.Si quieres hablar con tus amigos hispanohablantes, procura desarrollar la habilidad de hablar y escuchar más que la de leer y escribir.
（Obviously. If you want to talk to your Spanish-speaking friends, try to develop the skills of speaking and listening more than reading and writing.）
（Ovviamente, se volete parlare con i vostri amici ispanofoni, cercate di sviluppare le capacità di parlare e ascoltare piuttosto che quelle di leggere e scrivere.）
塚原先生：
そうですね。もしリスナーの皆さんの学習目的がスペイン語を話す友人との会話なら、「読む」、「書く」能力よりも「聞く」、「話す」能力を向上させたいですよね。
リディア先生：
Me gustaría decirles a nuestros queridos oyentes que no es obligatorio desarrollar las cuatro competencias a la vez.
（I would like to tell our dear listeners that it is not mandatory to develop all four competencies at the same time.）

塚原先生：
たしかに。「話す」「書く」「聞く」「読む」の4つの能力を同時に磨こうとしなくてもいいですよね。自分の目的に合わせて優先度を決めればいいわけですから。
リディア先生：
Es lo que plantea el Marco común europeo de referencia para las lenguas.
（This is what the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages proposes.）
（Questo è quanto propone il Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue.）
塚原先生：
そうですね。このような部分的な言語能力も正当に評価すべきだという柔軟な考え方を打ち出しているのが、ヨーロッパの文脈で外国語習得の目安を示すヨーロッパ言語共通参照枠（CEFR）です。日本は英語の頭字語のセファールの方がよく知られていますね。
リディア先生：
Sí. De hecho, ahora los niveles de los dele los diplomas de español como lengua extranjera están basados en el Marco.
（Yes, in fact, now the levels of the Spanish as a foreign language diplomas are based on the Framework.）

外国語としてのスペイン語能力検定試験のレベル分けもセファールに基づいていますね。
