This year I've travelled so dynamically (by my low standards) that I'll refrain from going travelling till next summer; otherwise I'll go into bankruptcy. Of course I'll do my best to invest in an index fund, Goldman Sachs and BlackRock before going travelling again. But I'm really surprised to find myself to be such a traveller. The places I've visited so far this year are:
1. Tsuruga, Fukui, Japan (April 7)
2. Munich, Bavaria, Germany (July 1, 2 & 14)
3. Berlin, Germany (July 3-13)
4. Omika, Hitachi, Ibaraki, Japan (August 11-13)
5. Osaka, Osaka, Japan (August 25-26)
6. Hakodate, Hokkaido, Japan (September 1-2)
I'm not a born traveller who seldom stays home and I'm far from being so ambitious as to try to travel around the world visiting every country upon earth. That said, there are still some irresistibly attractive places I'd like to visit by the end of my life. They are:
1. Hokkaido (in its entirety), Japan
2. Weimar, Thuringia, Germany (because of my special admiration for Goethe)
3. Rome, Lazio, Italy (They say, 'All roads lead to Rome'.)
4. Naples, Campania, Italy (They ALSO say, 'See Naples and then die'.)
5. Tel Aviv, Israel (Why not? You know I'm a Christian Zionist willing to take every opportunity to do anything possible to bless the Jewish people.)
6. Jerusalem, Israel (same above)
At the moment I'm planning to stay in Germany from 31 July to 7 August 2026, having already booked a hotel room in Munich, but things can change until I've booked a nonstop Lufthansa flight there. To my list just above, I'll probably add no more places in other countries, excluding Germanosphere, where I felt extremely safe and comfortable during my stay this July. If and only if I was ever invited as a guest, then I'd be more than happy to visit Anglosphere (the US, the UK, Canada and Australasia), but I'll never pay my money there just because I can't afford it. Yeah, it would be great to stay in NYC and London, but unfortunately everything there is too expensive. Latin America, Africa, Southeast Asia, India, and the Islamic world will never be added to my list of the places to visit simply because it's extremely unsafe there and it would never pay me.
