A week has almost elapsed since I last updated my blog. I must really admit that I'm such a lazy blogger. Tens of thousands - or more? - of Japanese people are so eager to update their blogs that I can't help admiring them for their eagerness to influence the world. For my part, I can update my blog only when I have enough time for it. But I'm really surprised to find that I currently have more than fifty followers, all of them probably Japanese, and I also feel so grateful for it. Of course my purpose of blogging is not just to increase the number of followers, winning popularity in Japan, and I will blog just the way I can. Yeah, the more followers you bloggers have, the better, but I'm such an opinionated person that I always feel I'm running the risk of offending some people and of reducing the number of followers. Would I continue to blog without a follower? My answer is yes. What!? What for? Interested? Well, between you and me, I have some friends and acquaintances overseas (the US, the UK, Israel, etc.) and it may be that they are checking my blog. This is why I'm writing in English. So even if I didn't have a follower at all, there'd still be a possibility that some people from other countries might be reading this. I'm not saying this to offend my Japanese followers. On the contrary, I'm just giving them some information to benefit them. What benefit? Why ask? Anyone who has read all my posts from the beginning must have already found it.

This week I've been a little busy with this and that. One thing I did on Tuesday the 9th was to have a job interview in Urawa, Saitama. The interviewer was a very polite man in his late forties or early fifties and the interview went so smoothly. To make a living, I hoped that I'd get employed, but I wasn't so optimistic as to believe firmly that everything will always go so favourably with me. Towards the end of the interview the interviewer left his seat for a minute or so and came back to tell me that they would like to hire me. I thanked him very much for his quick response and I told him that I'd do my best for all of those with whom I'd have to do. So I'll probably be working for the company in a week or so.

That's about it for today. Have a great weekend.
