Saitama Pref., 4 September 2025
Here are some of the photos I took in Hokkaido, mostly in Hakodate, on the 2nd and 3rd of September to share with you all.

September 2, 8:39 a.m. A view from my room on the 5th floor of the Hakodate hotel I was staying at. It had been raining here since the 1st, so unfortunately I gave up climbing Mount Hakodate (334 m above sea level) to see the magnificent view from above.

September 2, 11:16 a.m. Instead of visiting the famous Orthodox church in the rain, I took this photo of the watercolor hanging on the wall of my hotel room. This work of art is so elegant that I even wished I could ask the receptionist to sell it to me. How much would I pay for it? 50,000 JPY.

September 2, 1:56 p.m. Seicomart, the most popular convenience store in Hokkaido, stands over the street. I went there twice during my two-day stay in Hakodate.

September 2, 1:58 p.m. Facing in the direction of JR Hakodate Station, about 1 km away.

September 2, 2:39 p.m. I had just before got them all at the convenience store mentioned above. After taking this photo, I emptied all the five cans of liquor and the small bottle of white wine. As for the rest, I'd give them as souvenirs to my mother, sister, and two nieces.

September 2, 2:51 p.m. My only meal for the day. The larger one is mutton with rice; the smaller one pork with rice. The mutton, having already cooled down, was still so tender and almost as tasty as beef.

September 3, 7:45 a.m. Why did God, Whom I believe in, make it rain on the last two days and clear up only on the day when I leave Hokkaido? To make me aspire to come back on a sunny day like this? I hope so.

September 3, 8:14 a.m. The façade of JR Hakodate Station building.

September 3, 8:27 a.m.

September 3, 8:30 a.m.

September 3, 8:30 a.m.

September 3, 9:19 a.m. Hayabusa (Falcon) No. 16 bound for Tokyo getting ready to leave Shin-Hakodate Hokuto at 9:35.

September 3, 9:20 a.m. The carriage of the bullet train I was just about to get aboard.

September 3, 9:26 a.m. Bye now, Hokkaido. See you again sometime soon.

September 3, 9:37 a.m. Running as fast as a flying falcon between Shin-Hakodate Hokuto and Kikonai. Ah, how I wish I could live in Hokkaido were I not to spend the rest of my life in Germanosphere, especially Munich!
