Announcing an event we're having!
現在連載を書かせてもらっているクーリエ・ジャポンさんとは定期的にイベントを行っているのですが、今週の水曜日（12月5日）、またコラボ企画を行います！
My company sometimes hold events with Courrier Japon, which I also write a column for, and our next one is this Wednesday (Dec 5)!
イベントの趣旨は「お酒を飲みながらというカジュアルな場で、ネイティブスピーカーを交えて様々なトピックについて英語でディスカッションを行う」ことです。
The aim of the event is to provide a casual environment for participants to sip on a drink while discussing in English various topics with other participants, including native speakers.
似たようなイベントと違うのは、目的もなくただ話すのではなく、会話に参加するために必要なフレーズやテクニックを実践的に練習しながらグループ・ディスカッションに挑戦するという点です。
This event is different from other similar ones because instead of simply speaking for the sake of speaking (i.e. with no precise goals), participants at this event will actually practice techniques that are necessary to join group discussions.
