We delved into the topic of Trump's UN speech today
やはり翻訳されるとスピーチの内容は、日本語だと変わりますよね…当たり前ですけど
I suppose it's inevitable, but when speeches, and in particular, Trump's words are translated into Japanese, the nuance often changes slightly (and sometimes, radically).
"完全に破壊"や"ロケットマン"にはいろいろな意味合いがあるので、今日水曜日ファミリ―とワイワイ議論できて面白かったです！
There are different meanings and contexts behind phrases like "totally destroy" and "Rocket Man," and it was super interesting to be able to discuss such "lost in translation" issues with my Wednesday family.
