今日は朝はやーく家を出て、岐阜へプチ旅行。
Today, we left my place super early in the morning and headed to Gifu for a mini vacation.
大垣市でおじいちゃんとおばあちゃんとランチしました！
We met up with my grandpa and grandma for lunch in Ogaki city!
温石という懐石料理屋さん！
We went to a restaurant named "温石", which specializes in traditional Japanese course meals.

My grandparents are so cute...

The plates and cups were all very adorable as well.
小さい頃からほとんど毎年、夏休みの一か月はじいちゃんとばあちゃんの家で過ごしていたので、方言というのか、おばあちゃんがよく言う、ちょっとかわったワードやフレーズを、私もそのまま覚えて未だに言っちゃいます。
Ever since I was little, I would spend a month of my summers at my grandparents' house in Gifu every year. Over the years, I picked up on distinct words and phrases that my grandma would use, and I actually still use them today.
例えば今日だと…
「玲奈のめんたま（目玉）大きいね」
「えらいこっちゃ」
「そんなん、なぶったらあかん」 （なぶる＝触る）
「これほかっといて」 （ほかる＝捨てる）
この中だと未だに私がよく使うのは「えらいこっちゃ」と「ほかる」かな。
他にもおばあちゃんは時々自分のこと、「わらわ」というので、びっくりする。
Also, my grandma sometimes addresses herself as "warawa," which surprises me.
英語では「I」と「my」しかないから、日本語は複雑ですネ…
In English, we only have "I" and "my," so in comparison, the Japanese language is so complex...
大垣のアクアウォークにて！田舎のショッピングセンターは広い！
At Ogaki's Aqua Walk! Shopping centers in rural areas are so spacious!
ランチ後、マザーは実家へ、私は東京に戻ります…。
My mother stayed to go to her family home, while I had to leave to go back to Tokyo...
せっかく同じ日本に住んでいるというのに、なかなか岐阜に行けませんが、アメリカに住んでた頃に比べると何かあったらすぐ行ける距離なのでうれしい！
Even though we live in the same country, I can't often find the time to travel to Gifu...but compared to when I was living in the states, I can easily go see my grandparents in case something happened, which is a very good thing
