日本に来て初めて知ったんだけど、日本語では「ピアス」と「イアリング」は違うんだね！
After coming to Japan, I realized for the first time that in Japanese, "pierce" and "earring" are different.
英語では両方「イアリング」で、日本語でいう「イアリング」は「clip-on earrings」と言ってます（pierceは動詞で、「刺す」という意味）。
In English, we say "earring" for both types, and I say "clip-on earrings" for the ones that you clip onto your ear lobes. (In English, "pierce" is a verb.)
今日は初めて学園祭に行ってきます！学園祭もアメリカにはないから、どういうものなのか見るの楽しみです～
I'm going to my first Japanese gakuensai (school festival) today! We don't have these in the states, so I'm looking forward to seeing what they're like.
