I found an interesting article in Psychology Today.
イギリスとトルコで行われたある研究によると、第一印象には服装がかなり大事らしい。
According to a research conducted in the UK and Turkey, attire is important when making positive first impressions.
300人の男女に、顔がモザイクにされているAさんとBさんの写真を3秒間みせました。
300 men and women were asked to look at a picture of Person A and Person B for 3 seconds.
Aさんはオーダーメイドのスーツを着て、Bさんは普通にお店でかったものを。
Person A wore a tailor-made suit, while Person B wore an off-the-rack suit.
色や素材には違いがなく、AさんとBさんのスーツの差はものすごく小さい。
The two suits were very similar, with little differences in color or material.
結果は、Aさんのほうが圧倒的に「自信がある」「成功していそう」「信頼できそう」「収入が高そう」と評価されました。
Results showed that Person A was evaluated to be far more confident, successful, trustworthy, and a high-earner.
顔や表情が見えない場合、私たちは他人の服装をみて、瞬時に第一印象を持つようですね！

多分文化によって色の心理って若干異なるんだろうけど

アメリカでよく言われるのが：
In the states, color psychology is said to be as follows:
黒：リーダーシップの色。自信家。孤立しがち。近寄りがたい印象。
青：信頼の色。安定で平和な印象。警察官の制服が青いのもこのため。
赤：パッションの色。パワフル。誰かを説得しようとしているときに着ると効果的？欧米では、女性がファーストデートに赤いものを身に着けると好印象を与えるという研究結果が。
白：ピュアな色。清楚、純潔。でも「無色」ということで、ビジネスでは「つまらない」や「自信がない」印象を与えてしまう可能性も。
茶：暖かい色。安全で安定。信用できるイメージ。
オレンジと黄：クリエイティブな色。元気。でも、安定感のある、信頼できるような印象は与えない。様々な研究によると、明るい黄色の部屋では赤ちゃんはよく泣く。
文化によってどう違うのかな？日本ではどうなんだろう？
