先日、スタンフォード大学はキャンパス内学生パーティーでのワインやビール以外の強いお酒の提供を禁止しました。
Stanford University has prohibited the serving of alcohol other than wine and beer, such as hard liquor, at on-campus student parties.
スタンフォードでは2015年に、水泳チームに所属していた学生が、酒に酔って意識不明の女性に性的暴行を加えた事件が起きました。学生への量刑が軽かったことから批判が殺到し、大問題になりました。
In 2015, a Stanford swimmer sexually assaulted an intoxicated and unconcious woman. The student received a relatively light sentence, inciting heavy criticism.
