About once every six months, I buy six sets in bulk.
半年に一度、4足ほどまとめ買い
This is because I often get holes in my socks, especially at the big toe.
まとめ買い訳は今回のように親指のところにすぐに穴をあけるからです。
In the past, I used to buy and wear various kinds of socks.
昔、いい靴下をはいているときもありました カラフルだったり、高級だったり
However, when one sock got a hole, I had to throw away the whole pair.
だけど片方に穴が開くとそろってゴミになる
That's when I came up with a smart solution.
かしこいぼくは考えました
By having a lot of identical socks that are not designated for the left or right foot, I could continue using the other sock even if one gets a hole.
左右の違いがない同じ靴下ならば余った片方をほかの靴下とペアにすればまだ使える
Based on this theory, I have been buying the same socks for about 20 years now.
この理論でここ20年くらい同じ靴下を履いています
Furthermore, I had another brilliant idea.
さらに、かしこい僕はかんがえました
Moreover, instead of just throwing away socks with holes, I reuse them as a replacement for the vacuum cleaner's dust bags.
独身の時、穴の開いた靴下は紙パック式の掃除機の紙パックの代わりに再利用していました、問題なく使えました
