In a faraway land
遠いどこかの国に
There was a beautiful girl called Tabatha
タバサという美しい子がいました
She lived with a wicked stepsister named Minty
彼女は意地悪な義姉ミンティと
And a wicked foster mother named Ranga
意地悪な里親のランガと住んでいました
Minty: プリンスはキジ猫が好みだって聞いたの
The wicked foster mother was jealous of Tabatha's beauty
ランガは美しいタバサを妬み
And worried that chubby Minty will never attract the love of The Prince
ぽっちゃり目のミンティだと プリンスの愛を得られないのでは、と懸念したのです
So she kept Tabatha locked up in the tower at all times
だから彼女は タバサを塔に一日中閉じ込めました
Except when letting her mow the lawn on a leash
庭の芝刈りをさせる時だけは例外ですが ヒモをつけています
Tabatha: もうすぐで終わりよ
Minty would make her run errands
ミンティも彼女を脅して用事を言いつけます
Minty: 魚釣ってきてよ
Tabatha: わかったわ お姉ちゃん
Tabatha: 今から魚を釣ってくるわね
Tabatha is beautiful inside and out
タバサは中身も外見も美しいので
So she never complained nor got upset over it
文句など一度も言ったことはなく いつも健気でした
Tabatha: なんで私は愛されないのかしら
She would always put up with grumpy Minty
不機嫌なミンティのことも我慢します
Minty: 出なよっ
Minty: ムカつくんだよ
Tabatha: ごめんなさい
Minty: シッポが目に当たったんだけど
Tabatha: ごめんなさい お姉ちゃん
But one day Ranga arranged to marry Tabatha off for money
しかしある日 ランガは金もうけのために タバサを結婚させる手配をしました
Upon hearing the devious plan, Tabatha escaped the tower
恐ろしい計画を耳にしたタバサは 塔から外に逃げ出しました
And met The Prince and they instantly fell in love
そこでロミオ王子と出会い 二人は瞬時に恋に落ちました
But he told her to go home
彼はタバサにまず家に帰るようにと言いました
He promised he will find her and rescue her
必ず彼女を探し出して救いだすと約束しました
Tabatha: いつか王子さまにまた会えるかしら
Months have passed
何か月も経ちました
In the meantime, Prince Romeo had gone to every single house on his land
その間ロミオ王子は 領地内のすべての家を訪ねていたのです
Looking for his beloved girl, to no avail
愛する彼女を探すために、でも見つからない
He came to Ranga's, too, but she was cooking lunch for Minty & Ranga in the kitchen
タバサの住む家にも来ましたが 彼女はその時 台所でミンティとランガの昼食を用意していました
Romeo: やあ、僕のガールここにいない？
Minty: 王子さま！
Minty: 私はここよ！！
Romeo: すまない、家を間違えたみたいだ
It's the day before the dreaded wedding
憂鬱な結婚式の日が とうとう翌日に迫ってしまいました
Tabatha: 明日結婚式ですって？！
Tabatha: でも私はロミオ王子を愛してるのに
Tabatha: イヤー―――ッ
