I got Grand Canyon!

This is from Viwpoing in South Rim.

We, the members took Sedona tour the day before, lent a car to come to Grand Canyon. It cost $20 each. It was cheaper (, if I took a public bus, costs $27). Thank you for driving David (the man in blue) !

It took 3 hours, according to guides, it looks 4-6 hours usually. So it is not bad.

(They closed main office but I could check-in at the small window by the kitchen.)

Sedona

I took a Sedona tour at the hostel in Flagstaff. There are many famous power spot around Sedona.
The tour was cheap, only $35. It was good price! (Only people have cars can enjoy that place. Becouse the spots located far each other. So If I didn't get that tour, I needed rent a car to go. Lucky!)

I didn't expected it good because my roommate in the hostel said "it was not really good compare to Grand Canyon."

The tour was so nice actually. The scenery was so beautiful. We hiked for maybe 3 hours. I had a good time even I couldn't feel any power though.

Finally I go to Grand Canyon tomorrow. And I stay the lodge down by the creek. I am so excited now!!

Las Vegas

I played in a casino.

And I won $120. YAY!! BANZAI!!

The only one cheap hostel in Las Vegas was located in dodgy area. I saw police cars on the street everytime.

When I left there to get Greyhound at 4am, I saw a mexican looking woman had handcuff on her wrist and pushed into police car. She was crying "please don't take me, please... please..." I was lucky not to get any trouble.

This the world biggest screen was made by LG, Korean company... What are Japanese companies doing? Ganbare!

Los Angels

Berkeley バークレー

Megからオススメしてもらったんだけど 、時間が限らているということで 、どうしようか迷っていたけど 、これも何かの縁のような気がして向かったSan Franciscoの隣、学生の街 バークレー。

最高に気にいった！

自由の風が吹いてるって感じかな？ （ちょっと安っぽい!?）

今まで旅して来たどこからも感じたことがない自由な 空気が溢れていた。

Megが一番好きな場所って言うのが分かったよ！

San Francisco

I arrived in San Francisco after 20 hours overnight Greyhound trip from Seattle.
It is a lot warmer than Seattle, I can't beleave it. I got Green Tortoise Hostel here again. It is such a nice classic BP's hostel. It costs $18 ($5 discount for first night). And they have free meal tonight and breakfast tomorrow morning. Not bad eh?

I walked around the town up to Fisherman's whalf where I saw many street performers. Walked down to Chinetown, mixture of Chinese and English. Just like Hong Kong.

Around my hostel, there are lot of Italian style restaurants and cafes which I can't afford to get in during this long economical travel.

But I like this atmosphere in San Francisco, California. It is one of my faverite cities now.

Well, at free dinner, I ate a vegetable salad a lot. I guess I don't need any vege for next a week.,,

Seattle

I am in Seattle, Green Tortoise Hostel.
(dorm $21= $24-$3 discount)

It's so cold here too!

My Greyhound bus was canceledat at 8:45am this morning, and the 11:20am bus took 5 hours from vancouver to Seattle! Becouse of iced roads all the way.

I saw the original starbucks shop. But it was closed at 4pm today, becouse of a bad weather condition for the staffs safety. I will probabry visit there tomorrow.

Dinner; instant miso soup, corn soup and steamed rice at the hostel.



Second day in Seatte, ate self-made waffle and oranges a lot. I got a Caffe Latte at original Starbucks in the afternoon finally. I felt so nice! Pike Place Market which is the most oldest market in USA is so much fun! There are many defferent stores, fish shop, toys shop and art works shop, etc. I wish I could make it in Japan too.

Seattle

It is the first city in USA for me and there is the first Starbucks shop here.

世界一狭いビル！

バンクーバーでは珍しいこの時期の雪らしい。この町では特に観光らしいことをしていなかったけど、幸いバッパーから近かったので雪の中、最後に行っておきたかったところへ行くことに。

これが中華街への入り口。

門の近くというので、その辺で雪かきをしている人に聞くと、このビルだという。

へ？でもよくみると。

そう。これが見たかった、ギネスブックに登録されているという世界一狭いビル。奥行き178cmだそう。（隣のビルにくっついているけど、真ん中の濃い緑のビル。一応、それぞれ分かれているらしいけど、想像ではその建物だけで建っていて、もっとぺらぺらになのかと思ってた。）

中はこんな感じ。保険代理店らしい。営業中。

これで観光終了。でも雪の中華街はなかなか雰囲気があってよかったよ。

（そういえば、昔、「元気がでるTV」のダンス甲子園に出てきた加藤って高校生のうちがぺらぺらだったな。確かとなりの町だったから、そっちを見に行っとけばよかった。）
