My American friend who visited Japan twice and has met my mother took her and me to a Mexican restaurant. 
My host parents took my mother and me to a chinese buffet. They are so nice and I like them. 
Then, they and we dropped into a big supermarket. I wanted to show my mother it, so I was glad.
Although my mother can't speak English at all, she seems to be enjoying everything here (especially eating, though)

My mother arrived at the SF airport. This is her first trip to abroad in her entire life. Although we tend to have arguments sometimes, I'll try to make her trip lovely. 
This is not a beach. It's a lakeshore.

Izakaya ("izagaya" in the photo is incorrect) is a type of casual and cheap restaurant to drink alcohol and eat nibbles. But this restaurant isn't that type at all. They serve very delicious food. I never had that good salmon sashimi before.

Chicago is famous for its stuffed pizza. It was very delicious. I want to eat it again.

I came to Chicago by airplane. That area seems very different from California, because there are much less Asian people. I am already used to living in California, and the Chicago town's sight is very unfamilier to me. It looks like "real America."
All the exams finished today! Four months without regular time-offs are quite long. 
Although I studied with my 150% of energy, doing assignments seemed forever. So, I studied for 10 to 12 hours on weekends (Fri-Sun). Probably, the reason would be my English handicap. But I got 100% score for some English essays and A grades for all the classes of this semester. I feel that my listening and communication ability in English are increasing. Besides, I met really good teachers who generously answered my questions (which were a lot). I am so exhausted, but very satisfied.

I take 4,000 photos and movies in a year (the counter in my compact camera says so). My sister's graduation ceremony will be held in June of this year, and I got a single lens reflex camera for it. I need to practice to take better photos with it. :)
