10/3(Fri)Doctor in Malta（マルタの医者）

風邪ひいた。
水曜から咳が出始め
木曜に熱が出て
金曜にはとうとう声がでなくなり
仕方なく医者へかかることに。

I had a cold
I developed a cough on Wednesday.
I was burning up on Thursday.
I lost my voice,
so I visited a doctor on Friday.

ユンミンとキムが病院の場所を調べて
付き添ってくれました。
どうもありがとう♪

YunMie and Kim accompanied me to a doctor.
Thank you

診察はとってもシンプル。

The consultation was simple.

症状を聞かれ
喉を見られ
聴診器をあてられて
約3分で終了。

The doctor asked about my symptom,
checked my throat,
and listen to my chest with a stethoscope.
It took only 3min.

驚いたことは診察時間。
09:30-10:00
16:30-17:30
みっ短すぎる！！！

To my surprise, the opening hours is very short.

そして手に入れた薬↓

飲み方の説明は受けたものの
何の薬かよくわからない。
説明書は専門用語が多すぎて
読む気がしない。

Then this is the medicines I got.
I heard how to drink by pharmacist
but I didn't know what kind of medicines they were.
I don't want to read leaflet because
there are a lot of jargon.

たぶんのどの薬と抗生物質
だろうと思うけど。

I think they're medicine for throat
and antibiotic maybe...

早く良くなるといいなぁ。

I hope my cold will recover soon.

9/29(Tue)ATM in Malta

昨日は韓国人のユンミン、キム、ソン
と軽く飲みました♪
彼らはいつも韓国語で話すのに
この日は私がいたので英語で会話。

I drank a little with YonMie, Kim, and Son yesterday.
They normally speak Korean.
But we tried to speak English hard because I was there.

韓国の英語勉強法は
日本ととても似ているのでしょう。
彼らの英語は私にとってとてもわかりやすい。

I think method of leaning English in Korea
is very similar in Japan,
because their English is easy to understand for me.

そしてもう一つ発見。
マルタのワインは安い！！！
シャルドネのフルボトルが10ユーロ

And I discovered one more.
Maltese wine is so cheap.
A bottle of chardonnay is only 10Euro.

これはラッキー。

Lucky

反面、困ったことも。
本日、ルームメイトがマルタのATMに
50ユーロを吸い込まれた
マルタの銀行口座じゃないから
銀行の対応も冷たい。
未だ解決せず。。。

My roommate draw 50Euro from ATM today.
And it was drafted from her bank account
but nothing came out from ATM.
Because it is not bank account in Malta,
the bank had only poor support.
It is left unsolved now.

というわけで、
私はマルタのHSBCに口座を開いて
必ずHSBCのATMから引き落とすことにしようと思う。

So, I open a bank account in HSBC in Malta,
and I'm going to take cash out from ATM of HSBC only.

外国でのお金にまつわるトラブルは
避けたいもんね。

I want to avoid money trouble in foreign country.

9/27(Sun)Prices in Malta（マルタの物価）

今日はユンミンとヴィキと一緒に
マクドナルドで勉強。

I studied with YunMie & Viki
at McDonald's.

チーズバーガーが1.5ユーロ。
日本のマックのほうが安い。

Cheese Burger is 1.5Euro.
McDonald's in Japan is cheaper than Malta's.

そして予想外に寒かったのでセーターを購入。
こちらは14.99ユーロ。
洋服は安いね

It was unexpectedly cold,
so I bought a sweater.
It is 14.99Euro.
Clothes are cheap in Malta.

ちなみにバスは0.47ユーロ。
かなり遠くまで乗った時でも1.16ユーロ。
日本のよりかなり安い。

FYI, a bus is 0.47Euro.
Even if I ride a long distance,
It is 1.16Euro.
Compared to Japan, it is very cheap

9/25(Fri)Horse Riding

金曜日は学校がお休みだったので
ゴールデンベイで馬に乗ってきた。

EF School was holiday on Friday,
I rode on horse at Golden Bay.

う～～～ん、すばらしい！

Woooo, It was wonderful!

海辺のコースを1時間ほどパッカパッカすると
ポパイビレッジが見えてきました。
おもちゃみたいでなんだか可愛い

After 1 hour riding,
Popeye Village came into view.
It looks like toy's town.
So cute.

30ユーロ/2hです。
これは行く価値ありです。

This activity is 30Euro/2h.
It is desirable experience.

また行こう。。。

I am thinking of going again...

9/26(Sat)My Room in Malta

今日は私のホームステイ先の部屋を紹介。
半地下のフロアがすべて生徒用で
ツインが二部屋、一人部屋が二部屋あります。
バストイレは共同ですが
家族とは共有はしていません。

I introduce my room in host family.
The semi underground floor is all for students,
there are two twin rooms and two single rooms.
The bathroom is shared, but it is not shared
with host family.

ホストマザーが手芸が得意で
ベッドカバーなどが手作りです。
かわいい

My host mother is good at sewing,
so bed cover and others are hand-made.
How cute♪

部屋はそこそこ日が当たり
シーリングファンが付いているので
涼しく快適。

The room is received decent sunshine
and deliciously cool because of fan.

滑り出しは順調
It's a good beginning.

お料理については
追々UPしていくつもりです。

I will update about meal later.

9/22(Tue)Boat Party

この日は学校が用意した
有料のアクティビティに参加した。

I took part in the paid activity that EF school set up.

25ユーロなり。

25 EURO.

失敗

I really blew it...

船を一隻貸し切って
19時出航24時帰港。

We chartered a boat,
start at 19:00 and end at 24:00.

HUGO'SのNO.2であろう
DJが音楽を担当していたんだけど最悪。

Today's DJ who is maybe HUGO'S No.2 was bad.

音をブチブチ切るし選曲もよくない。

He often stopped music and music selection was bad.

波は高くて船揺れる。

The wave was large and the boat was roll.

ヨーロッパ人は真っ暗な海へ
じゃんじゃん飛び込んでたけど、、、

European jumped into the sea and swam.

夜の海って怖くないですか？

But the night sea is scary, isn't it?

9/21(Mon)Welcome Party in HUGO'S

この日は22時からウェルカムパーティ

This was a night of Welcome Party at 22:00.

セントジュリアンでは一番音楽がいいと評判
のクラブHUGO'S.

The party was hosted for new students at club HUGO'S where had a good reputation
of music in St.Julian's.

ノリはクラブというよりディスコに近いかな。

The mood is a disco rather than a club

飲んで踊って楽しんで。

I was drinking, dancing and really enjoy it.

でも英語の勉強にはならないから
来週からはほどほどにしようと思う

But it's not for studying English,
so I'm going to drink alcohol moderately next week...

9/22(Tue)Class

昨日からクラスが始まりました。
今日は80分を3コマ。

The class started from yesterday,
and today I took three lessons in unit of 80min.

明日は5コマです。
大学よりもハード

And tomorrow I'm going to take 5 lessons.
The schedule is harder than university's.

クラスはレベル0～8のうち
レベル4からのスタート。

My level is 4.
EF school has level 0～8.

クラスメイトは
ドイツ人、ロシア人、ハンガリー人と自分
の計4名。

There are 4 students in the class,
Germany, Russian, Hungarian and I(Japanese).

が、ドイツ人とロシア人が英語超ペラペラ。
本当に同じレベルだろうか？？？

However Germany and Russian can speak
English fluently.
They are same class, really???

ちょっぴりナーバスになる。

I get a little nervous.

けど、英語ができないから勉強しに
きてるんだもん！！！

But I came here because
I cannot speak English!!!
I don't care♪

9/21(Mon)故意じゃないのよ

ここでは自己紹介の度に
年齢を聞かれます。

Every time of a self-introduction,
we ask one's age.

私は正直に
「31歳」と答えるのだけれど
必ずソーリーと聞きなおされます。

And I reply innocently "I'm 31 years old",
but everyone ask again "sorry?".

2回ソーリーと言われたら
3回目は「21歳」と言います。

After they say "sorry" twice,
I say "21 years old".

なんてことでしょう！！！
みんなニッコリ笑って
「オー アイアンダースタンド」って

How amazing！！！
They all smile and say
"Oh, I understand"

故意にさばを読んでいるわけじゃないよ

Blue GrottoとM'Xlokkへ。
とても綺麗な海。

I went to Blue Grotto & M'Xlokk.
Very beautiful sea.
