10/17(Sat)Asian party（マルタでアジアンパーティ）

土曜に友達のレジデンスでアジアンパーティを
開きました！

We held an Asian party on Saturday
at my friend's residence.

面子は韓国人5人、ハンガリー人2人
日本人2人、香港人1人。

There were 5 South Korean, 2 Hungarian,
2 Japanese, and a Hong Konger.

日本のおにぎりと名前がわからないけど
韓国料理を作りました。
料理下手な私も
一個だけおにぎりをにぎってみた

We made Japanese Onigiri and something Korean food.
I'm not good at cooking,
but I tried to make only one Onigiri.

むむぅぅぅぅ
Muuuuu

おにぎりは三角形にするものだけど
なかなかうまくいかない。
結局、俵型のおにぎりになった。
韓国人の男の子は四角形ににぎっていたし
楽しいからまっいっか

In general, Onigiri are said to be triangular in shape,
but Onigiri that I made was round.
Korean guy made a quadrangular one.
They were funny.

味は本当美味しかったぁ。
アジアンなものがすごい食べたかったから
今日は大満足。

Taste was delicious!
I wanted to eat Asian food very much,
so I felt of well-being.

10/15(Thu)Breakfast in Malta（マルタの朝食）

これがステイ先での朝食です。
シリアル、パン、マーガリン、ジャム、
ミルク、オレンジジュース、ネスカフェ、お湯、
が並んでいます。

This is my breakfast.
There are cereal, bread, margarine, jam,
milk, orange juice, Nescafe and hot water.

私はパン2切れにマーガリンとジャムを付け、
オレンジジュースを飲み、
先週、母が送ってくれたインスタントみそ汁をすするのが日課。

I eat 2 pieces of bread with margarine & jam,
drink orange juice and
instant miso soup my mother sent me last week.
It's my morning routine.

毎日、同じメニュー。
それはいい。
でも、朝一にはおいしい珈琲が飲みたいなぁ。

Everyday, the menu is same.
It's no problem.
But sometimes I want to drink a cup of delicious coffee.

10/12(Mon)My favorite place（お気に入りの場所 in マルタ）

たまに海辺で本を読んでいます。
誰も来ない静かな場所が好きなのですが
ぴったりの場所を見つけました♪

I sometimes read a book at seaside.
I like the place where nobody come and it is quiet.
This is pretty much that.

ヒルトンホテルの近くにあって
ヒルトンホテルとキャバリエホテルの間の細い路地を
抜けて海に辿りついたところです。

It is near Hilton Hotel.
I walk through a narrow street
between Hilton Hotel and Cavalieri Hotel
and reach the sea.

今、リチャードバック著のイリューションを
読んでいます。
（もちろん英語で！！！）
ファンタジーなんだけどなんとも言えない
浮遊感があってお気に入り。
トランス音楽を聴いた時の感じかな。

Now I read "Illusions" written by Richard Bach.
It's a well-written fantasy and I feel of floating.
It's like a feeling of trip
I listen to some trance music.

この日はここで素敵な朝を過ごしました。

So I spent a nice morning at my favorite place.

10/9(Sat)Birgu festival（ビルグフェスティバル）

スリーシティーズ。
これはヴィットリオーザ、セングレア、コスピークワの3つの町の総称。
先週の金・土・日とここで盛大なお祭りがありました。
通称「ビルグフェスティバル」と呼ばれ、
ビルグとはヴィットリオーザのまたの名前です。

Three Cities.
It is a general name for Victoriosa, Senglea, and Cosouca.
There was a festival at three cities for three days.
It was called Birgu festival.
Birgu means the other name for Victoriosa.

私は土曜夜の「キャンドルナイト」に行きました。
街中の電気はすべて消えて蠟燭の灯りだけ。
自分の家は自分で飾り付けるみたいで
あるおばあちゃんは自分の通りが
コンテストで優勝したことが自慢のようでした
すっごくきれいだったぁ。

I went there at Saturday night.
This night's main event was Candle Light.
All houses switched off the electric lights, and decorated many candles.
It was so beautiful.

街は古き良き時代の面影をのこしていて
狭い路地や伝統的な建物と
観光地とは違う洗練されていないけど暖かい人々。
なんてロマンチックなのかしらん。

The town was covered a traditional atmosphere.
There were a lot of narrow streets, traditional style houses,
and kind people.
How romantic!!!

私はスティーブ先生と一緒にそこに行ったのだけど
隣町のコスピークワが彼のふるさとなので
彼のたくさんの友人に会いました。
彼らはセントジュリアン（都会）の人たちほど英語が
上手じゃないけれど
話好きで飲み好きですごくおもしろかった。

I went there with my teacher Steve.
His home town is Cosouca, so we met a lot of his friends.
They were so nice.
They couldn't speak English very well like people who live in St.Julian's,
but they liked talking, drinking, how funny they were!

週末は観光地じゃなくてこういう雰囲気のある街に
もっと行きたいなぁ。
I want to visit old cities in Malta more often.

10/10(Sat)Sushi（寿司）

個人レッスンの帰り道、
寿司屋を発見！！！
「Gochi」

The way to home from private lesson,
I found Sushi shop.
「Gochi」

すかさずお店に入ると
日本人の店員さんが
「何になさいます？」と日本語で迎えてくれた。

I entered the shop quickly.
then shop staff welcomed me　in Japanese
「Nani ni nasai masu？」

一番人気のアボガドサーモン巻を頼んだ。
写真を撮るのも忘れて食べ始めたから
3分の1くらいに減ってます↓

I ordered avocado & salmon maki which is the most popular.
Forget taking photo, I began to eat.
So it reduced to third of↓



お値段は3.20ユーロ。
The price is 3.20Euro.

これだけではおなかいっぱいにはならないけど
味はおいしいです。

I was not full, but it's taste is delicious.

また行きます！

I will go there again!

10/9(Fri)Graduation from Hugo's（Hugo'sからの卒業）

金曜の夜は恒例のHugo'sで飲み＆ダンス。

Every Friday night, I was drinking & dancing at Hugo's

Hugo'sのバーテンダーはイケメン揃い。
友達三人とカウンターを陣取っておしゃれにカクテルを頼んだ。

The bartenders are all handsome man.
I sat in a center of the counter and ordered cocktail with my three friends.

マルタ物価では相当いい値段。
だから1杯だけ。

It was expensive in Maltese price.
So, I ordered only one glass.

ダンスフロアへ移動するといつもの音楽。
マルタにきて3週間。
音楽はいつも同じ。
どこのクラブでもほとんど同じ。

I moved to dance floor, and usual music.
I have been in Malta for 3 weeks,
the music was always same.
Anywhere was same.

飽きた。
そろそろクラブは卒業します。

I'm sick of it.
I'll be graduating from club by now.

10/3(Sat)Private lesson（個人レッスン）

先週末からプライベートレッスンを受け始めました。

I started to have private lesson on weekend.

スティーブ先生といいます。
奥様が日本人で日本での英語教師生活が長く
日本人への教え方をとてもよく心得ています。

The teacher is Mr.Steve.
His wife is Japanese and he taught English in Japan for long time,
so he knows how to teach to Japanese very well.

レッスンは私の希望で会話中心。
間違えはすぐに訂正してくれるし、
新しい表現はノートに丁寧に書いて教えてくれます。

The lesson is almost communication by my choice.
If I take a mistake,
he corrects it immediately and teach new phrase with taking note.

普段、訛りが強くてへたくそな学生同士の会話が多いから
スティーブ先生の英語はすごくよくわかる。
マルタ人の発音もアクセントがきついしね。。。

Usually I talk with students, who have a thick accent
and little speak, so his English is easy to hear
for me.
Maltese pronunciation is a strong accent, too.

ヒアリングができなくて少しナーバスになっていたので
聞きやすい英語に感謝感激

Because I can't hear English very well, I got a little nervous.
Thank you for his beautiful pronunciation that is easy to understand.

10/5(Mon)Swine Flu（豚インフルエンザ）

体調がよくならない。
ひどい咳で授業もままならない。

I don't feel better.
I have still terrible cough and cannot have lessons well.

すっかりテンション↓の時に
友達のルームメイトが豚インフルで
ホテルに隔離されたと聞いた

When I felt blue, I heard
my friend's roommate had Swine Flu
and was isolated in Hotel.

学校で流行中！？

There is a lot of Swine Flu going around!?

ちょうど薬も切れてたし
不安になって今度は違う病院へ。

I became anxious and just my medicine was finished,
so I went to another doctor this time.

セーフ！

I don't have Swine Flu Virus.

ほっとしたので今日はよく眠れそう。

What a relief...
So I can sleep well tonight

マルタにきて19日。
授業は2週間受けました。

I have been in Malta for 19days
and took lessons for 2 weeks.

トマトソースがけ黄色いご飯。
サフランライスかな？

Today's dinner.
Tomato sauce on yellow rice.
Is it saffron rice?

そしてデザートにゼリー↓

ルームメイトのドイツ人には
馴染みのデザートらしい。
何味かは不明。

Then I ate a jelly for dessert.
For my roommate who is German, it is common dessert.
I don't understand what flavor it is.

今日もおなかいっぱいです。
