Last weekend we finally got to buy the Nashi at Nashi Road.
This is the kind called Niitaka.

We were able to send a box to Sister in Nagano.
I hope she and her daughter will like it.
Niitaka is a kind of nashi harvested in late September.
Now take a look at the size!
It’s extremely large.
新高は 幸水や豊水が終わった後に出る種類です。
特徴は、

これ、自宅用の割と小ぶりなやつですが、
This is a middle size, actually.
It weighs as much as 615 g, which is about the size of our tortoise Gin.
600g、ということは、
ギンさんといい勝負。
負けないぜー、🐢
巨峰も、大粒
I might as well measure this one, too.
It’s 16 g, pretty good.
こいつも測ってみようか。

今年は、梨の収穫が
いつもより早かったそうで、
新高も来週くらいまでなんだって。
According to the farmers they have been forced to harvest the fruits much earlier than usual this year.
The sale will only last until next week.
