新国王のチャールズ三世はイギリス議会での初スピーチの冒頭でシェイクスピアの台詞を引用して議員に対し感謝の言葉を述べました。
以下はその部分です。

この ’a pattern to all princes living’ がシェイクスピアの台詞のどこからの引用なのかが不明だったので調べてみました。
その結果、シェイクスピアの史劇 「ヘンリー八世」の五幕,五場の宮殿の間における、名付け親でもある大司教クランマーの生誕したエリザベス女王を賛美する台詞であることがわかりました。
