9 iPhone settings you should definitely review

① Turn off 5G communication
② Turn off auto-correction
③ Turn off auto-capitalization
④ Turn on Optimize storage
⑤ Turn on battery percentage
⑥ Set format pro default to HEIF
⑦ Change auto-lock time
⑧ Turn off easy access
⑨ Set background updates to Wi-Fi

① "Turn off 5G communication"
If you are using an iPhone, a 4G communication environment is sufficient.

Even if you use 5G, not only will the battery run out faster, but the connection will be poor at the border of the communication area, which is inconvenient.

Can be selected from Settings → Mobile communication → Communication options → Voice and data

② "Turn off auto-correction"
Proper nouns and IDs when logging in to a site are automatically corrected (or rather destroyed), so it is more convenient to turn it off.

Can be set from Settings → General → Keyboard

③ "Turn off auto-capitalization"
This also capitalizes the beginning of a sentence in unnecessary places, so it is more convenient to turn it off.

Settings → General → Keyboard

④ "Set Optimize Storage On"
This is a function that allows you to store photos in iCloud and save low-capacity images for thumbnails on your iPhone, freeing up space on your iPhone. It is recommended to pay for iCloud on a 128GB iPhone because it is cheaper overall than buying a 256GB or 512GB iPhone.

Settings → My iCloud icon → iCloud → Photos

⑤ "Set Battery Remaining (%) On"
The remaining battery level is displayed numerically on the battery icon in the upper right corner of the iPhone. It is simply easy to see. We recommend turning it on.

Settings → Battery

⑥ "Set the Pro Format Default to HEIF"
The data size of photos taken with the camera will be reduced. HEIF is recommended for everyday use. If you want to crop or edit photos you have taken, you can also change to ProRAW. However, the file size is huge.

Settings → Camera → Format

⑦ "Change Auto-Lock Time"
If it is too long, it will waste battery. If it is too short, the screen will suddenly go dark, which is inconvenient. I recommend finding a time that suits you.

Can be set from Settings → Display & Brightness

⑧ “Set Easy Access Off”

This is a feature for people who can’t reach the top of the iPhone. If it’s on, sliding your finger down on the home bar will bring down half of the screen. It can start up in unintended places, making it difficult to use, so I recommend turning it off.

Can be set from Settings → Accessibility → Touch

⑨ “Set background app updates to Wi-Fi”

If you don’t set it to Wi-Fi or off, apps will update over your mobile data. If you have unlimited gigabytes, it won’t be a problem, but for everyone else, I recommend turning it off.

Can be set from Settings → General → Background App Updates

Please give it a try!
