英文で同じ単語を使ってはいけない、と聞いたのですが、下の英文を見ると同じ単語、言い回しを使っています。

after buying something new 「何か新しい物を買った後」は完全に繰り返し使われています。
たいていの日本人が←上から目線
buyはpurchaseに書き換えなければならないみたいに思っています。
□なぜ勘違いが広まったのか？
例えば人の名前ならば二回目からは代名詞を使わなければならない事を、同じ動詞を使っては行けないと思ったのだと思います。
また英会話スクールのサイトでは同じ単語ばかり使わないで、語彙を増やしましょうと書かれています。これを一つの文章に同じ単語を使ってはいけないと勘違いしたのだと思います。
ですが同じ文章の中で一つの事を説明するのにbuy, purchase, getなどと変化していったら、どう考えてもおかしいです。
