昨夜先ず、"R&Rギターのパイオニア" のひとりにして “元祖” ガレージ・ロッカー “Mr. Rumble” こと「Link Wray」70’s 初頭スワンプ・ロック/SSW期 “Polydor” レーベル第1作目 “Link Wray” ('71/Polydor 24-4064) を〜♪

米東部メリーランド州アコキークにある自身の農場の古い鶏小屋をスタジオに改装した "Wray's Shack 3 Track" で録音、地を這うようなスワンプ度数120%！の泥臭サウンドが激渋の一枚！

本作LPジャケは「Link Wray」横顔輪郭部分に沿ったダイカット見開きになっていて、レコード盤は内側から取り出す特殊仕様♪

また、のちに「The Neville Brothers」が  “Yellow Moon" ('89) で 'Fire And Brimstone' (こちら♪)、"Brother's Keeper" ('90) で 'Fallin' Rain' (こちら♪) と2作にわたり本作収録ナンバーを採りあげカヴァー. . .  尤もぼくが「Link Wray」やこのLPを最初に知ったのは、それら「The Neville Brothers」ヴァージョンで知り得た流れでしたね♪
